  1. what did the AX-15 come from? did you use the Dakota bellhousing to adapt the AX-15?
  2. XJ are different.
  3. specifically about the 2.5 engine? or MJs in general?
  4. not sure about the actual truck pictured, but I know putting the leafs on top of the axle gives different results depending on the sag of the leafs, the diameter of the axle, and the height of the perches.
  5. problems have been solved and attempt 2 should happen this sunday afternoon or evening. be prepared. :D
  6. when you go to replace the filter, just direct the line into a catch can and have someone turn the key to run. instant proof if it works or not :D just be sure to protect your face from any possible splatter.
  7. there's a part number change 02-04 and 05-06. don't know what it means (usually nothing), but if you find an early one, double check the width. 4.10s are available on the early years of 4bangers  (though they probably don't have disks)
  8. dunno what brand it is, but it's not a "cold" air intake. the air in the engine bay is wicked HOT. :( with no divider I have doubts as to its power making capabilities.
  9. just to add one more to your list, my '06 Liberty has an 8.25 that is a couple inches wider than an MJ axle and disk brakes  there will be more bracketry to cut off (has a 3 link on it), but it doesn't look all that bad. just be sure to snag the bolt-on ujoint flange with the axle. no, it's not for sale (as my Libby still has need of it :D ), but car-part.com might be able to find another in a junkyard near you.
  10. hopefully Alexia can get our software updated soon and our own script written so we can get copies of them before the go away. I have a feeling that everyone should probably start saving any Jeep pics they find and want to keep, just in case PB pulls the plug or something. :(
  11. power to the people :rock on:
  12. nice! I'll try that out this evening.
  13. my favorite eclipse photo yet. :D
  14. gears + boost =
  15. gears are your best bang for your buck. choose them wisely :D
  16. mine is an 06. I'd imagine they are all the same width. car-part.com can help you find one in a junkyard.
  17. I think his screen name here is teampettycash or something along those lines
  18. to add to your upgrade musings, I recently found out that the Liberty rear axle can be found as an 8.25 with disks and is a couple inches wider than stock. (the 35 was also available). I always thought they were the same width as an XJ, but I measured my '06 Libby. neat :D don't forget to swap out your mech fan for an electrical.
  19. I am sooooo tempted to make that an auto correct in our forum software. :rotf:
  20. don't know for sure, but you should be able to remove the electronic pickup from the t-case and install your mechanical one (might need a different speedo gear inside)
  21. 4 most posts in anther forum and it'll open up the permissions to the classifieds.
  22. nope. clean out all the old sealant and use the new rubber trim
  23. any year XJ will work. use the late model XJ (97+) rubber window seal for installation (either if you attempt it or a shop does). vastly superior to the old ways :D and I agree with just letting a shop do it. some jobs are just worth the money.
