  1. that sucks check that your cowl area drains properly.
  2. part of the "upgrade" that came with the software so it feels more like social media.
  3. anyone started this? I'd love to help, but I'm probably shouldn't be the guy to start planning out the organization.
  4. we dig pics. doesn't have to be just "after" shots. stockers are just as awesome here (even more-so to some members )
  5. 33s give an inch more ground clearance but bring more headaches with them, namely clearance of the lower control arms and fenders and also sucking more power from the engine (unless you re-gear). 31s would make for a better handling driver on the roads. the differences between alloy and steel rims are, generally speaking, a moot point. just pick what you like best.
  6. lots of tech in this thread so I've moved it over
  7. how about I move this to the DIY in a couple days and include it in the list. the "best paint gun for the money" certainly seems like a worthy DIY thread.
  8. Rusty's has improved over the years. in the early days their welding and rust-prevention were simply atrocious and left a bad taste in customers' mouths. I'm still hesitant to recommend them, but I no longer tell people to run away. bear in mind that few "kits" are complete, no 2 kits are identical, and personal opinions vary wildly on what constitutes "good" (both in part quality, ride quality, or what parts are needed or not). keep reading the project and DIY threads and you'll get closer to being able to make confident decisions on what you'll need. what size tires are you shooting for? fwiw, I prefer rubber bushings for a daily driver.
  9. yeah, my wheeling trips seemed to include a whole lot of idling, followed by bursts of high rpm, followed by more idling. Blowing through a half tank of gas in a day is not unheard of but I have no idea how much mileage that is (no speedometer).
  10. not a clue you'll want to contact Alexia and see if he has any thoughts on it.
  11. take lots of pics and start your own DIY thread
  12. a bad ground, a bad power connection, or bad bushings in the linkages can all make the wipers struggle.
  13. do the wipers now act normal for those 6 seconds?
  14. I mean, I've got the street sign from the corner house I lived in most my life in the backyard of the georgia house. does it count as art?

    Who?

nice we've got a couple owls in our neck of the woods, but they aren't quite as friendly.
  16. now that we have the DIY search index we wouldn't need to sticky it.
  17. look into some of the complete 97+ swaps. I known people have put the late model seats into an MJ. you just need to adapt the XJ sliders to your MJ's floor brackets.
  18. pm sent
  19. spellcheck says we both did
  20. I hate thieves. at least she wasn't nearby when it happened. never know what a panicked thief will do.
  21. well, anything is possible I guess. there will be a lot of customization that isn't in an XJ swap since the ZJ is all different in where stuff mounts and where wires run. not even sure about trying to get the gauge cluster and dash stuff working. seats have been done though.
  22. man, I'd totally move one into the front yard once a year for that!
