oh wait, you wanted the turkey in the bed? dang my truck looked good back in the day! (in a low kb file of a pic taken from 50 ft)

because in the world of Jeeps the most common reason for an engine feeling old and tired is owners that go with bigger tires without regearing. it is my go-to question each time. I've seen a stock 2.5Ls do burnouts with 38s. (I think that particular Jeep had 5.86s or some such thing)

my buddy just bought a pair of these for his truck. putting one on either side mounted to the rear surface of the cab above the rear window. should work great as both bed lights as well as extra backup lights if needed. all of 11 bucks shipped.

what size tires and what gears in your axles?
-
haha I'm just a cheerleader at this point. I haven't coded since the bits were saved on floppys.

care to guess how many unique photobucket images are currently on the comanche club? We're deep in the middle of trying to rescue what we can and, while this number will go down a bit as the procedure progresses, it is currently at 87,265. On our little Jeep site. just think of how many are images are lost on the bigger sites. how much information is just gone from the collective brain that is the internet. screw you photobucket

how many lumens in the 3200 one?
-
it needs to make a huge noise each time it turns on. maybe like the big notes in the movie Inception. something worthy of a death ray

the WJ yeas, 99-04 have arms with a bend in them. should be a writeup in the link in my sig. if not, there should be. you'll need to get some alignment shims with them to cheat and make them "longer". -
what's the plan for powering that bad boy

so I'm perusing the internet for a gift for a buddy and stumbled upon some unbelievably cheap (probably for good reason ) 52" triple row light bars for dirt cheap. I had no intention of clicking on it, let alone buying them, but one number stood out to me so I had to take a closer look... 2871W!! holy crap! seriously, how fast would that suck the battery out of his truck? So I thought maybe it's an exaggeration. I know that lumens-inflation is a real problem in this market. by the way, they are claiming over 400,000 lumens. thems a lot of blindyness.

I've altered horbrod's post to reflect this new info.

oh I sure hope not. I keep getting lost in the infinite menus. send a message to Alexia and see if he has an idea.

yes. can't remember who, but a kit exists that bypasses the original weirdness. hopefully someone can chime in with the brand.

Making The Thunderbird Great Again

did you make a decision on the woodgrain or did I miss that? -
with a restricted budget, you can't go wrong with a 3" lift and 31s. Don's (hornbrod) MJ is 2wd, 3" and 31s (with a few other knickknacks thrown in)

I just opened a new message and it shows "drag file or choose files" below my text box.

what's you budget look like?

Can anyone tell me what this is for?
Pete M replied to Ruxus's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
it's part of your emissions setup. if you don't have indepth inspections in your neck of the woods, it can be tossed. -
shocks work best on the road when they are inline with the direction of travel, aka up and down. angled shocks are more for offroad toys that see lots of wheel travel.

what year is the trans? -
haha! nice one I had a similar event when I went to turn off the water under my grandpa's kitchen sink. soon as I touched the valve it popped right off in my hand and shot 50psi in my face. so I plugged it with my thumb and tried my darnedest to, uh, "calmly" explain to my grandpa where the master shutoff was in the basement and then waited while he shuffled off. man my thumb was hurtin' by the time the pressure stopped. all the while my grandma was freaking out over the water in her cupboards. she always was one to recognize the important things in life. or the time I was fixing a leak at my cousin's house and noticed that the in and out for the hot water tank were switched. as in, were always that way since the house was built. oops! thank god for flexy lines. I hate plumbing I'm not even a plumber and there's no end to the stories of fixing other peoples' mistakes...
