the older years didn't have them on the benches. eventually they decided that the back glass was a poor preventer of whiplash and included them. not sure why your 92 wouldn't have them. should have been standard by then. I will of course be hanging on to the bench for future Concours d'Elegance showings.

cranking = turning over = engine is rotating after proper starter engagement ballast resistor:

is it in a vehicle that you'd be buying/storing whole? or an engine block that will then be sitting on the floor in a corner of a shed for a couple years?

If that's the only thing that has changed, maybe something is wrong with inside the filter? maybe? I mean, I've heard of plenty of other parts being bad out of the box, but not a fuel filter.

any chance the filter is on backwards?

WD40 isn't a rust penetrant at all. but yeah, brake fluid can work wonders on rusted bolts! just be sure to wipe it off of paint asap. (same with WD40 for that matter). I haven't used it yet, but I've heard good things about CRC freezeoff.

I guess you could extend your bump stops a whole bunch. or weld a clearanced section into the corner of the tank. I've seen that done before on hotrods.
