  1. michigan.
  2. also, I'm heading out for the evening so I may not respond right away.
  3. have them in my hands right now ok, maybe not right now, since I'm typing. If you would like some, send me a PM with a name/address. If you'd like to donate something, the Paypal ID is: ComancheClub@hotmail.com otherwise just ask and I'll message you back an address for check/MO/cash/boxtops/etc. They are about 6" across. there are no prices. if you want one, it's yours! if you want to donate to help the CC, that's great too! please don't ask how much you should send. I don't want to answer that 50 times. for new members who haven't yet received your club magnet and cards, I'll mail them out as soon as I get back to GA (forgot to bring the magnets up with me )
  4. the cardboard is behind the grille and on the left and right 3rds (e fan blocks the center), as close as I can get to the rad, but it doesn't touch. and I've only got 1 surviving glow plug so a block heater is in play anytime I'm stopped longer than an hour or 2 or else I'm pretty screwed. I may try to wrap the grille completely with some fabric and see if that makes a difference while driving. going down to 10 tonight. um... factory?
  5. I don't remember reading anything bad about General Spring and the couple guys I can think of that bought them really like them. don't throw the old packs out though, someone else might be able to use them.
  6. don't tempt me. there are definitely days I'd like to set it ablaze.
  7. any ideas out there for getting my CRD KJ up to "normal" operating temps in the frigid temps? I've blocked the grill as best I can with cardboard, but I'll be danged if I can keep it at even 1/4 on the temp gauge. Fortunately the interior heat works great and it's just my fuel economy that suffers.
  8. I keep telling myself that the best way to learn is from other people's mistakes, but my brain doesn't seem to listen.
  9. every single possible point of entry has leaked for someone at some time. they are all suspect. my 86 was leaking at the top of the windshield, running inside the A-pillar and trickling down to become a puddle on the floor.
  10. does the 92 already have the later model adapter to allow for the bigger oil filter? have you upgraded your brake booster yet? have you run through all of Cruiser's applicable MJ tips? grounds in particular. headlight relays?
  11. wow! the 2-tones were a pretty rare paint job and somehow you found one with the same 2 colors!?
  12. structurally sound? I think we've proven that the carpet is structurally sound enough for our trucks.
  13. yeah, I really missed that as I was trying to put a switch panel in the Liberty.
  14. I'd totally hang that on the wall.
  15. that reminds me of when I built the 88 and accidentally plugged the wrong port up front resulting in this little guy being added in.
  16. I've seen plenty of trucks where the owner did... nothing. can't get much cheaper or easier than that. painting almost seems like too much work
  17. careful, at this rate of improvement you may end up with a self driving truck. or maybe a flying truck? topfuel dragster? something epic for sure.
  18. customer service still exists!
  19. seems like that could have easily been some kind of ultimate land-yacht, but instead it's a... 4 seater?
  20. even the best of us can get pulled into fads.
  21. I simply cleaned this pair and hit them with some clear coat. it may not be the best route for ones that can actually be brought back to perfection, but they look dang good from 10 ft.
  22. nice that was worth a watch for sure
