  1. I merged the 2 so I could compare the lists
  2. I do believe used glass is the only option at this point.
  3. drop your photo here and I'll take care of the rest.
  4. happy birthday to all Comanches everywhere! yes, technically they started production before July 1st 1985, but I consider this the big birthday date since it's when the 86 models went on sale.
  5. just start a thread in the 87 subforum with the VIN in the title. maybe add a pic if you want. we like Jeep pics. https://comancheclub.com/forum/30-1987/

    Moving Again!

with that setup I'm honestly not sure I'd even try to get over 55. don't burn anything up or the trip becomes 100 times harder. reminds me of that one trip coming south over the Appalachians with the camper in tow when it was 99 outside and the CRD kept trying to overheat on me. I had the windows up and the AC cranked in the Liberty for downhills, and then the windows down and the heat cranked to max for the uphills.
  7. looks like a decent idea to me. any interference with the tailgate down?
  8. send me an email addy and I'll send along all the pics. CC shrinks them down.
  9. some of these are crazy impressive! stopmotion isn't dead! https://www.youtube.com/c/JDBrickProductions/videos
  10. if they sold that as an AX-15, I'd go get my money back. but yes, you can swap it in too. fingers crossed that it's not bad. just don't waste any money rebuilding a peugeot.
  11. the glass sits in the window frame, the frame is glued to the truck. the rubber trim needs to be removed first. and the interior trim pieces like the B-pillar panels can get damaged accidentally if you don't pull them first. it's all pretty easy for a pro. kinda a pain in the butt for us normal people. plus the consequences of screwing it up are kinda expensive. do you have the removal tool? (essentially piano wire with handles)
  12. 4bangers were always 21 spline. the peugeot was always 21 spline. the AX-15 was always 23 spline. the AW4 was 21 spline 87-90 and then 23 spline after that. if the AX-15 started out as 21 spline output, I'm going to need some hard evidence to believe it.
  13. that might be a hiccup in their system. my 87-90 factory parts manual doesn't list anything like that that I can see.
  14. um, looks like we're planting a crop of box turtles in the backyard.
  15. did you bench-bleed the master?
  16. generally speaking, they smell different. and they feel different between your fingers. but I'm not sure if that's something that an owner can determine from a couple drops. the important thing is that the leak is fixed.
  17. silver shortbed $600 easy fix for a body shop to pull.
  18. Red shortbed. not a lot of pics because this one apparently got stored before I snapped any. or I misplaced them. who knows. I'll work on that (it's kinda buried). this is the bed that fell on me and tried to kill me. bedliner not included. $500 a body shop should be able to fix this, or you can wait for Key Parts's patch panels.
  19. dark blue shortbed. excellent shape save for the dent. any body shop can pull that back to straight. $500 if I remember right, a tree fell on it. I should be able to carve a patch panel from one of my wasted beds.
  20. White longbed $600 definitely some bondo on the lower rear pass side. Key Parts is developing patch panels for the lower rear bits.
  21. take your time and you'll be fine. working on your truck is the best way to get to know your truck. just don't put the grille back on upside down.
  22. which tools are you missing? because if you don't have a torx bit set, you should go get one. there's a lot of the little buggers in your truck.
  23. pull the stuff out of the way and have someone rev the engine a bit while you watch the suspect area. but on the other hand, a new radiator is never a bad idea. you don't need anything fancy, just one that's well built.
