  1. scored some rust free doors in the correct color. and half-off too! I've seen hundreds of Libertys in junkyards over the years. I've seen exactly 4 in my color.
  2. welp, there's proof that the entire world hasn't yet learned what these trucks are valued at. bummer.
  3. check the Vendors section of the classifieds for 3d printed tailgate bumpers. that hose/duct from the airbox goes to the exhaust manifold. its purpose is to pull warmer air from around the exhaust manifold to help speed up engine warmup. after like a minute the airbox goes back to sucking fresh air from the front. it's not all that important.
  4. just wow. maybe put down the beers...
  5. well done. what goes on the backside?
  6. Are you asking the search to look for all your words?
  7. no such thing as too much info if the engine starts acting up.
  8. R.E.M. it's a real-time engine monitor for Renix era Jeeps. https://nickintimedesign.com/product/rem-clock-panel-v4/
  9. is this maybe a bearing in the trans that has gone bad? pilot bearing? although the pilot bearing in my old 88 was... missing... when I did the ax-15 swap and it didn't do the bucking bronco thing. (all the bearings were gone and it was just the outer race that remained)
  10. yeah, the Quartz version is pretty dang tough. or you could get a blank panel and insert something different. maybe a PT Cruiser analog? for extra style points.
  11. the usual problem I've seen is that they have frozen in place.
  12. so I broke out the big red paperback (89 shop manual) and there isn't any word on the issue. I'm guessing that the friction coefficient is set when new and that's it, they either get loose with time or freeze up with time.
  13. @eaglescout526 anything in the computers that sheds light on this conundrum?
  14. well, that's puzzling. there isn't some sort of tiny set screw hole for the top pivot, is there?
  15. never a doubt in my mind that it wouldn't sell in a heartbeat. a beautiful truck.
  16. chances are you'll need to adjust your driveshaft length with any axle swap. the dana 35 is a tiny axle and everything else has a longer pinion snout. spline count on all 8.25 axle shaft after 97 is 29.
  17. what do the attachment points look like? I don't have a pair to check.
  18. definitely a 44
  19. have you checked the voltage at the cluster main connector? if that is good and there's no visible problems with the "circuit board" then I'd agree that it's the old gauge.
  20. if the guy you bought it from never got the title put in his name, he never actually owned the truck and is thus not the previous owner.
  21. huh, that was weird. I think you may have accidentally hidden your own post? there's nothing about hiding a post recorded in any of the mod logs. anywho, I've unhidden it for ya. I seem to remember we had an intro thread many, many moons ago. usually guys introduce themselves and their trucks in their Project thread. https://comancheclub.com/forum/8-member-projects-your-comanches/
  22. another option is to shift the cab permanently and plug the vacuum lines. there's a thread on it in the link in my sig.
