  1. if you put the vids on youtube, you can then link them here.
  2. I used the almighty MS Paint to shrink it. old school.
  3. If you have a 4spd, it's an AX-4. If you have the 5spd it's an AX-5. they are identical on the outside. the AX-5 just has overdrive added. the AX-5 is found behind every year of 2.5/2.8 engines and bolts right up. (the 2.5L was used through the 90s so don't think you need a super old Jeep to get what you need). the AX-15 is the bigger brother found behind the 4.0 and requires a special bellhousing to adapt to the 2.5L. It's tougher, but hardly necessary. you're not going to find many threads on doing a 4x4 conversion because of how easy it is. it all just bolts right in. a factory shop manual would be a good source for the step by step instructions. take out the 2wd stuff and put in the 4x4 stuff. a donor XJ is usually suggested but a junkyard can work too.
  4. sweet! take lots of pics!
  5. why is the 1990 in that list? it's not really much different than 87-89.
  6. they are pretty sweet. hefty too.
  7. that's less than 1000 made in calender year 1992. more '92s were made in 1991 since model year turnover happens in july.
  8. glad to hear you're holding in there. definitely time for a job upgrade.
  9. little of both? less than 19,000 left on the roads (out of 190,000 made) and the really good stock ones are starting to demand higher prices. gotta be persistent in your searches and quick on the trigger to get a good one for a good price. and if we take the ~10% left number and apply it to the 91-92s, there are very, very few left. like, less than 1000.
  10. nope. got mine already.
  11. some spray foam and bondo and you're good to go. ...and now I've made myself sad because I know there are guys that would do that. how are the leaves looking?

apologies on behalf of AMC for the shortness of the printout. a lot of info was lost in an apparent flood of the records room of AMC (that's the story we've heard) and so didn't get into the Chrysler computers. your full build sheet is much longer. if you sneak a peak at the later years of MJs, you'll get an idea of what I'm talking about. Eventually we hope to piece together all the missing bits.

  15. see, it's clearly a wrangler though I spy a dino inside, so that part seems true.
  16. definitely could be bad gas.
  17. than the odds of success go up for sure.
  18. boosting an engine known for grenading because you looked at it wrong? ballsy. I could definitely see boosting a 3.4 next though. get some!
  19. if you're looking for an aftermarket slider, the CR Lawrence windows are temporarily out of stock, but will be made again eventually.
  20. in case you didn't know, 87-88 Colorado red is a bit different (darker) than 89+ Colorado red.
