it's super easy. you won't regret it.

waaaay back in the day I put mine on the pass side of the trans tunnel. I rarely had a passenger so it didn't matter (and if I did I could simply remove it and chuck it behind the seat). later I mounted it to the back wall right in the corner behind the driver (mounted to that 3/4" plywood wall I built). then I moved it outside in the bed so anyone could grab them if needed. The Liberty's is mounted to the pass side of the trans tunnel.

takes 5 minutes to trim the steel bushing flush with the rubber. it's like the easiest mod ever. also, no, there are no aftermarkets that bend in like them. plenty of aftermarkets are round though, and that might help a bit.

if you add a cap that's a higher pressure than the closed system will see, it should stay a closed system. I have a late model radiator (with a higher pressure cap) in my otherwise stock 88.
