SatiricalHen Posted May 26, 2020 Posted May 26, 2020 Alright, here’s the game. You are going to a junkyard. No specific part you’re after, a junkyard you’ve never been to before. You can only bring one single tool to the junkyard. What do you bring? What is the “most useful” tool in your opinion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Dzimm Posted May 26, 2020 Posted May 26, 2020 Depends.. Jeep related, a 10mm wrench. In reality, probably a crescent wrench. Otherwise, a recipe saw. Reason being is I can cut everything around the part I need and haul it home to use the correct tool. Or is that cheating?

Original 87 Posted May 26, 2020 Posted May 26, 2020 The one between your ears. Its the best one we all own. Otherwise If you look around its amazing how many tools you can find at the yard.
mjeff87 Posted May 26, 2020 Posted May 26, 2020 My Irwin combination screwdriver. I have a couple of them...one for the 'yard bag, one for the garage, and one for "inside the house" work (that isn't all greasy, LOL) https://shop.rplumber.com/c/hand-tools/screwdrivers-nut-drivers/screwdrivers/p/9-in-1-multi-tool-screwdriver
jdog Posted May 27, 2020 Posted May 27, 2020 https://ezred.com/product/14-mini-master-set/ does this count?
Torq_Shep Posted May 27, 2020 Posted May 27, 2020 Vice grips... Duh. Screw driver would be dumb because every yard I have ever been to I have managed to find a screw driver =P
coheed Posted May 28, 2020 Posted May 28, 2020 I think I'd third a Leatherman. Mine has come in handy way more times than I thought it would.

There’s still a handful of cases where the Channellocks are ahead, but for turning bolt heads you’ll have a tough time finding a set of pliers better than the Knipex.
