mvusse Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 I figured the sawzall would bend the steel, and my angle grinder doesn't like going around corners. I did use a cut off wheel. 27 of them to be exact. Total cost would be around $5, and I still have 9 more left; about 20 minutes work, 10 of which was replacing wheels on the dremel.
jpdocdave Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 thats some patience, are we talking about a little dremmel, or acutal pnumatic cut off wheel?
mvusse Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 I'm talking 10 minutes putting new wheels on (15/16" diameter) and 10 minutes cutting with an actual little dremel. I did have access to a little 3" air grinder, but it would have taken me longer to go get it than it took me to cut.
ComancheKid45 Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 ripped out my interior in preperation for full Rust Repair War this weekend! :wrench:
oldrusty Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 spent the whole day welding in a new drivers floor. stoopid rust...

landlubber Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 cleaned up some rust, and got that bondo'd and painted up. I guess thats one advantage to having a paintjob using hunting paint from wal-mart. gotsa just get my temp sensor in and maybe pop the old serpent belt on and its down the road to get inspected.
streetjeep2.5 Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 I did a little something but shhh, What's the guy got? V8 with Dual Quads on a high rise or tunnel ram, or the old style injectors that were vertical tubes on an intake?

comanche09 Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Hit the JY again today to feed the MJ addiction... Found a '90 XJ with AX-15 and NP231!!! But it was completely covered/caked in mud/ dirt... Not sure of the condition and the shifter was removed and looks like some dirt got down in the tranny... Should I grab this??? Any idea on how to easily clean it to get it unbolted? (in the JY) Picked up a 27 spline driveshaft yoke, 97 XJ Oil pan, color matched vanity sun visors and GM lighted rearview mirror...

dasbulliwagen Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Yesterday I installed a factory AMC Electronic tuning AM/FM cassete radio that I pulled out of a 1986 CFC Wagoneer, though I don't have speakers wired in yet. I also installed a cig lighter, and a quartz clock for the same vehicle. With the clock, I found the factory plug for one in my 87, but the connector was different so i spliced into the wires and hooked in the original connector. The clock worked for about two minutes, long enough for me to set the time on it and test the lights, then it just went dark. So much for that. And today I went into work to put my wagoneer front end on. I got it all installed along with a power antenna and chrome front bumper. Also installed a sway bar from a Cherokee country. I have yet to drive it enough to see if I can tell any difference. Ill give more details and before and after pics in my build thread " Comanche Limited".
