Upgrade your harness to incorporate some relays to power them and your headlights will be bright again. The factory harness sucks. :fs1: Even worse after 20 years.

Extended the LCAs half an inch to lower the front pinion angle. Rides better now.

Also lowered the rear of the truck half an inch by installing XJ shackles. Looks just about level now.

And installed a Viair 2.5 gallon air tank underneath the truck. I'll be installing the York OBA this week.

I adjusted the back brakes..

Some stu-nod drove right thru a stop sign and came with-in inches of a head on collision with me today. :headpop: :headpop: I stomped on the brakes and only JUST was able to stop...Guess that brake upgrade should be pushed forward a bit....

wrote out a damage report for my lawyer as I was rear ended the other night. I hate not being able to do anything to it until the insurance has a look and whatever happens next.

I attempted to get my parking brake to work by adding sleeves to the main cable to take up for the longer rear axle cables that came with the 410 axle. It worked for a litlee while, but kept going loose after a few applications. I noticed that the cable where they go into the backing plates are collapsing on themselves...the outer sleeve that is. I guess its time for new cables. I also replaced my missing alternator bolt, put a new one in and then double nutted it. That should keep the alternator in place and the belt tight!

I was bored, so I took the gas pedal assembly off from inside and then covered everything I could and removed the rubber foot pads from the brake and clutch and bought a good brand of chrome paint, and painted the pedals and reinstalled the pads, then taped off the gas pedal on my bench and painted it chome as well. Like I said I was bored. lol It all looks good and it seems a little faster in acceleration. lol can't really see it unless you get in the drivers side and look down. I am the only driver..

This is to the praise of not throwing stuff away

Rummaged through the "stuff" I keep, which my wife wonders why I keep it, and found a pull spring that would work by cutting a few coils off and reshaping the ends to fix the broken spring on my drivers door handle that returns the lever the plunger pushes against! Guys! Save things. Ya never know! I think this spring has been in my junk stuff for over 20 years!!!

Installed Champion spark plugs designed for the 1991 HO engine into my 1988 renix motor

Seemed to smooth out my idle slightly and run less rich in comparison to the renix model champions. This may also be because they are one step hotter and the fact that I'm running the 19lb ford injectors

Got the York OBA system operational on Thursday.

Went wheeling in Big Bear Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Truck did great. But I did get some slight damage to the bed.
