ComancheKid45 Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Played with electrical issues......see tech, lol
AMCJeepMJ Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Took her down to Bend and then Mt Bachelor. Once there, took the back way around the mountains to Three Creeks/Sisters via an atv trail starting at Todd Lake which fords two small streams. To cover 18 miles took 1.5 hours. Very bumpy, rocky, rutted, lots of elevation change, and led a pack of two other vehicles consisting of a late model white Tacoma 4dr and 10 year old emerald green Ranger. They're all 'oh no a rock, lets go all slow and carefully go around it so we don't ding our precious sheetmetal, putt putt putt'... showed them what a 2wd Comanche with pink pinstripes and canopy missing its back glass can do. Rarrr! ;) Whose your 22 yr old vehicular daddy?!?!?! It snowed on the High Cascades peaks last night, got down to 32 at 3500'. A few shaded puddles still had a crust of ice at 1pm.
dasbulliwagen Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 I'm in the process of making a fitted fan shround for the WJ electric fan I am installing in my 2.5 MJ. I'm using 2 seprate 2.8 V6 fan shrouds cut down and epoxied to the fan unit itself so it can mount to the original radiator mounting holes. I hope the 2 part epoxy holds up OK. I bought an adjustable temp fan controller, and plan on doing all this when I replace my leaky water pump. I'm curious to see how much of a difference it will make with no crank driven fan in there.
comanche09 Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 '95 Dual Diaphram Booster and Master Cylinder installed today. HOLY CR*P, this thing has BRAKES now!!!
jpdocdave Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 installed the front skid i scored at the junk yard and painted the bumper and grill real fast. did the map light mirror last week to.
89eliminator Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Those skids are boat anchors. I use to give those things away. sorry Dave, i had to. looks good though.
mvusse Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Dropped of my new drive shaft at the shop to get cut to length, and then balanced as one unit with u-joints and yoke installed. Supposed to be ready around noon tomorrow
Oizarod115 Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 i walked by it  :( :( but not to sad, we were so freaking busy today, took a long weekend and they all came scrambling in today. $$$$ woohoo. maybe this week will be better than last week. :ack:
JeepcoMJ Posted September 9, 2009 Author Posted September 9, 2009 I had to put the windshield from my 95 cherokee project/shell into it this past weekend as an owl decided to hit the old one. also salvaged some '99 cherokee rear hatch struts from a wrecked xj and put them in as hood struts.

mvusse Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Picked up my drive shaft today. Turned out the new one had a bend to it, so it had to be straightened first, upping the cost a bit. So straightened, cut to length, u joints and yoke installed and balanced for a grand total of $112.50. The Pig is back on the road!
MiNi Beast Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Sweetness! Jcr makes great stuff. So now you going to paint it hot pink? :brows: :brows: :brows: :brows: :brows: :D :D
HOrnbrod Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 '95 Dual Diaphram Booster and Master Cylinder installed today. HOLY CR*P, this thing has BRAKES now!!! Alright, I gotta ask. It's got to be an optical illusion, but it looks like in your pic that you plumbed the two master cylinder ports together! Made me look twice! :hmm: And also noticed the brake lines are squeezing right against your windshield washer tank. A good fix for that is to install the 1997+ XJ tanks inside the fender well. It leaves some room for other stuff.
Automan2164 Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Don! What is that on the top of the inner fenderwell? Is that dirt? Shame on ya. Rob L. :D
HOrnbrod Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 It was dirt. Old pic. All cleaned up now.
bigalpha Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Hornbrod, thanks for the windshield washer tank idea.
