  1. I did some reading but didn't find real definitive answer. Can I rekey an 89 door lock to fit a 91 key? I know the cylinders look totally different, and have different rods but I don't know if the innards are similar enough to re-key? TIA
  2. The sender in my MJ is structurally fine, but the potentiometer is borked (ohmed out wrong). Are the potentiometers replaceable?
  3. I don't understand what's going on here:
  4. The sender in my 88 LWB is bad and I have a lead on a pump assembly from an 89 SWB. From what I understand, the SWB sender should work on my LWB tank because the tank has the same depth and width but a different length. Is this correct? Also, do any RENIX MJ senders work in any RENIX MJ tank?
  5. Anyone with any ideas on these two things?
  6. I don't know why I was thinking 13 gallons. So now that my sender is borked, will my gauge still be accurate, only on a different scale?
  7. The LWB trucks had a 13 and a 22 gallon tank, right?
  8. Also, I can't seem to find the thread where someone mated an XJ and MJ unit.
  9. My sender is bad - I pulled it and tested the float. It ranges from 0-57 ohms. Now, it reads 3/4 as a full tank. Will the gauge still work properly, just on a different scale? Also, when filling the tank, gasoline will bubble out the filler tube and spill down the truck instead of kicking off the dispenser nozzle. I assume that there is something wrong with the venting of the gas tank. Is there a common problem I can look at? Will I have to drop the tank to troubleshoot this?
  10. I'll probably pass out if my wife tells me she's pregnant. Vomiting is a given as well. I will spend 9 months doing as much baby/kid research as possible. There is a lot of very interesting research into baby development.
  11. I know some of you collect these things: http://nashville.craigslist.org/clt/2783853907.html
  12. Is it too late?! Yeah, those seats look freaking nice.
  13. I tested my gauge by disco'ing the connector at the pump. The needle swept all the way to F (and past it). I then jumped the ground and violet wires and the needle then swept over to E (and past it). There is no corrosion on the connector and no obvious broken wires. I plugged it all back together and the needle then went back to where it was before disco'ing the connector. It seems that when I fill the tank, the needle moves to the halfway point. I don't recall this happening before I swapped my gauge cluster.
  14. So if you unplug the connector and the needle doesn't sweep to Full, then ground to the connector is bad?
  15. Physical exercise.
