My 89 MJ seems to run very well but starting seems to be strained. It takes 3-4 seconds for the engine to turn over. Is this normal for the 4.0L or does something need to be replaced?

I bought an 89' Pioneer 4.0L 2wd for $2,500 off Craigslist. No rust that I can find except for a little on the tailgate handle. Seems to runs well so far and leaks a small bit of oil near the distributor but doesn't seem to be a big deal. I'm having the front brakes and rotors replaced next week along with a new front windshield. So basically I spent $3,000 for a 89' Jeep with a rebuilt engine and tranny. Not sure if I got a good deal or not but I love this truck so far. Pictures to follow soon.

Looks like a little oil is leaking from underneath the distributor cap on my 89 MJ 4.0 where it connects to the engine. Looks like it's a little rubber seal but I had it replaced and it still leaks. Any suggestions?
