"The Cure" from RuffStuff.............
cody4359 replied to HOrnbrod's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I put one on a few months ago. I have before and after videos but Tapatalk won't let them upload Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk -
I have a 1/2" drive and a fine tooth 3/8" as well as a few bars. I'm done with craftsman. I get close to 50% discount for proto using my works corporate account. They aren't my first choice but I'm cheap. I did however break a fee teeth in my 3/8" and tacoma screw warrantied it for me and gave me a new one. For wrenches I want SK, wright, or USA John deer. Ya, I've played with one stock for the last 10 years and it went bankrupt and took me for 13k lol. I'm greedy, but no risk no reward. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Dunno if you have pwr or not, but maybe look into 97+ with manual windows for s simple swap. Pretty sure I did a write up about 5 years ago for the striker swap. Basically, drill out the spot welds and remove the plate that captures the nuts. I took some flatbar, measured the hole pattern for the new striker, drilled, put bolts in with new striker and welded nuts on the back. Measure/eyeball where you want it on the door jamb, drill 2 holes, and fiddle around with enlarging them til you get it where you want. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

I have a flowmaster delta 50 on mine and it's ok, no v8 sound but decent. I've always wanted to try magnaflow and recently for my other truck I've been drawn to the borla pro xs universal muffler. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Looking at a used Air locker
cody4359 replied to Callmehickross's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I had a arb rd100 I pulled from a beat up trail rig I parted. I live close to them, so I took it to have it gone over. Basically walked out with only the orignal spider gears, they replaced everything else with used parts the had laying around and gave me 2 new bearings. All took less then and hour and cost me a box of doughnuts. I took them some homemade smoked cheese and a few month later I got a refurbished compressor for a couple more bricks lol. They have great service and of your local they treat you even better. A phone call and a few questions to them wouldn't hurt and is free Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk -

86 Diesel MJ to VW TDI conversion
cody4359 replied to johnj92131's topic in MJ Hardcore Tech: Epic Journeys to Greatness
You can check the gear ratio by marking the yoke/pinion and rotating the tire 2 revolutions and counting how many times the yoke spins. Also, mark your tire and ground to get a accurate number Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk -
Look great man! I like the color matched flares. Looks like some time was spent getting everything pretty in the engine bay. Do you still have the exhaust dumping under the bed? Mine was like that for a long time and I finally had it routed put the back Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Anyone have those stupid safety hammers in their cars?
cody4359 replied to 1989 comanche mj's topic in The Pub
what kinda man reads directions lol? you can always flick a little piece of ceramic from a spark plug at a window and it'll spider it instantley. when I rolled my xj years ago I crawled out the passenger side. the hatch was open and I snagged a 6" crescent wrench and wacked the middle of the glass so I could turn off the ignition. I don't carry any of those hammers, never seen a point to them. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk -
Nice looking rig! for your driveshaft, talk to a shop about what measurement the need. Basically running position, max flex extended and max compressed, I reccomend finding a loading dock or something similar to flex on or a forklift. are those truck lite headlights? how's the oitput? I was going to do a retro fit on my jeep but it would look outta place and I he waiting for the ballast to warm up Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

I too have brown dog rubber mounts, top notch company with amazing customer service imo. I had a bit of an issue right off the bat with more vibration than I'd like, had to loosen the bolts a smidge and all is well. I have thought about going to oem just to see if there would be a difference Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Image Not Found Yup. Works fine. CAD dana 30 on 35s Hmmm, Maybe me and the previous owner just used what's between our ears a little more or had better luck.. anything can break, sometimes from stupidity, bad gear setup or just bad luck. The axles I have now are a d44 LP with 4.88, which is weaker than a hp d30 and they are from h3resq's truck that was running 35s and did moab as well as beating it around locally. I stand by my statement Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

We had Snowmaggedon in 2012, I had over a foot in tacoma,wa and went to the hills to play. This year we have had a ton of snow and unfortunately they have switched to salt instead of the de-ice'er we have always used. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
