  1. It was on my mind, I want to do a tie rod flip, but know it won't work with 15" wheels, for just your issue. I shopped for late model 16" wheels flea while. I saw a set of 16" TJ Rubicon Moabs in Snohomish listed on CL for $300. They have less backspace than the Icons I ended up with. Edit: Oops, probably near the same backspace, they are 8" wide wheels as the 7" Icons. Less offset, 12ish mm vs. 31.75mm
  2. @DirtyComanchehas a few, too.
  3. I would love to help. Could I skim a set?
  4. Cider Forged or cast?
  5. I bet this is my problem: Saw this in the Popular Posts column in @SatiricalHen's build Thanks in advance @HOrnbrod, R.I.P. I have done some measuring. There is a small raised ridge in the centerbore of the wheel, about 71.3 mm. It could be that. I would bet it's the fingers from the dust cap, though. I'll have to look some more at one of my loose 5 Star wheels, and measure that.
  6. Or something else isn't out of alignment. Harmonic Balancer, crank pulley is a common one to move some when they start going bad.
  7. Are those 15" wheels? Even a 16" wheel would give you enough extra room that you wouldn't have a problem.
  8. Saw this one yesterday, stopped at a signal. He was turning left. I'm no good a clicking and driving.
  9. I want a kit, if they are available.
  10. That would probably tow a nice bumper pull camp trailer too. Good call, Pete.
  11. My answer in the other thread: Well, there were less than 200,000 built. How many are left is hard to tell. Most of them were built in the first 4 model years, so, about 40,000 '86s. A lot of the 2.8 liter trucks have had engine problems. Rare? Probably not. Common? Not Even. Post up your own VIN in the registry, you will get your build sheet. Even if it's not rare, it's worth preserving. The Comanche was easily the best small truck available at that time. Personally, I think the concept still holds up well. There isn't anything comparable available today, which I'm(NS)HO, is a shame.
  12. Turned out well.
  13. I really like the contrast. Nice looking truck. I don't think I could get the same result trying to contrast my red truck.

    I'm a Dad again!

    So peaceful. For now. Congratulations
  16. Not me, friends.
  17. Hmmm, intrigued. Where? I know quite a few people that have family in the Great Lakes area.
  18. Pronounced the same as in Jeep, so jes, a soft 'J'. 🙄 Dad Jokes. It's how eye roll.
  19. I want the topper. Can you fit it in a flat rate box?
  20. You bought that just for the topper, didn't you?
  21. So, what are the brackets worth? They are available if I buy the bumper. Going to see it sometime this weekend.

    Spot the issue

Funny how your experiences shape your thinking. In my mind, the issue is them standing in the road, about to get hit by the next car that drives by rubbernecking.
  23. Searching the used wheel sites. So, if that is accurate, then I wonder what is happening? Curiouser and Curiouser.
  24. I second Vaseline, or any other petroleum jelly. They do make special o-ring lube, but I don't know that it's of value for this application.
