Would that be the same as a back seat driver diffuser?

    Starman:

Got to see a shuttle launch when I first moved to Orlando back in '90, it was amazing, just before dawn, it seemed like it was forever before we heard and felt it after the liftoff and we were just across the river in Titusville. Then last year one of my former students got me, my wife and daughter into the VIP section to see the Osiris Rex liftoff. He is one of the rocket scientists guiding the project to deep space and back. Awesome thing to see and experience. Buck.
  4. That is amazing work in just a year, very impressive! Now your build thread will be one that others visit for inspiration. Buck.
  5. Great work, looks good!
  6. Great finds! I like going to pick n pulls also. I have been getting disappointed that I have found no mj's and just a few xj's but recently I have scored big for our '04 ford escape. Just found a pair of what looks like brand new headlight housings, po must have just bought them and then got in a wreck, the bumper cover was already off, took me all of 5 minutes to get those off.
  7. Great find!
  8. Great progress! Keep the pics coming. Buck
  9. Awesome find, looks like you can have your cake and eat it too with the two mj's! Buck
  10. Don, sorry but I cannot find it in the attic which means I thought it was too damaged to keep and threw it away. I will keep an eye out when I go to the pick n pulls. Buck.
  11. Don, you can have the one I took out. Unfortunately it was molested, the bozo who installed my stereo 27 years ago trimmed the reveal around the a/c and heater controls, something I didn't notice til years later. Fortunately the chrome is still in good shape I think, I kept it and it is in the attic. I found an all black one that I prefer. I can take a pic in the next week if you are interested. Buck.
  12. The side pipes and metal grate steps would keep me from going near it with anything less that full enclosed shoes or boots, no flip flops or bare feet allowed. Buck.
  13. Congrats on mjotm, awesome rig!
  14. Hello everybody, I don't have any updates on my mj other than I now have it parked back in the garage, I had a wooden boat project in my half of the garage (my wife won't give up her parking spot) that had to go to the burn pile because I found more rot and decided it was too much work to save. It has worked out well because I was able to switch insurance companies to Hagerty, they want the vehicle to be in a garage. I went to a Jeep dealership that I had never been to the other day and was at the parts counter when a salesman came up and asked if I was driving the Comanche and he said he wanted to buy it. I told him I probably won't ever sell it but everything has a price. I told him I have it insured for 10k and he would have to offer me more than that if I would even consider it. We were walking back outside and he actually said, "Would you take 10k for it today?" I told him no thanks and he gave me his card and said to please call him if I decided to change my mind. I have not had anyone offer me that kind of money, made my day. Buck.
  15. I would take you up on your offer Roper, but you would get the short end of the deal. I only own a spec of knowledge compared to some of the guys on this forum. It would be a bit of a drive anyway from Florida. Buck.

    Nates 4X4

That is not good. I was seriously considering ordering a rear bumper from them real soon. Buck.
  17. Nice work!! Keep the pics coming as you can and I don't think anyone will complain about a pic dump. Buck.

    Ethical Conundrum

I agree with all the opinions already given. Keep the '86 as is, finish it, drive it and enjoy it. Buck.
  19. Wow, that thing is fugly, just my opinion, would have been easier to just buy a Commander, resale would be easier also. Buck.
  20. Like always Minuit, great work! Your attention to detail is amazing. Buck.
  21. Mike, congratulations on mjotm and I agree with Don, you deserve the award for 3 months, each one worthy of an individual award. Truly an inspiration to us all. Buck.

    Build Sheet?

I went to a brand new Jeep dealership a few years ago and I don't know if the guy at the parts counter was bored or not but he printed up my build sheet free of charge. Buck.
  23. I am amazed every time I see this build. From where it started and in a short time to turn into such a great mj, well deserved mjotm. Congrats! Buck.

    Leer cap parts?

Where is the closest bus station to you? Here in the states you can ship things on Greyhound buses really cheap, wondering if that is something you can look into if you or someone finds you a window. Buck.
  25. Great job! Looks awesome. Buck
