  1. Great work, keep the pics coming! Buck.
  2. Don't jinx it! Great work by the way. Buck.
  3. I remember gutting our bathroom at our old house and I was at my wits end and kept catching my foot on a short baby gate going in and out of the hall and something snapped and that baby gate ended up totally destroyed in the driveway and I went to work in the afternoon and my wife didn't even say anything that night when I got home, she knew it had been a bad day. I felt good that I hadn't destroyed any of the tile we had spent some good money on. I always try to take my frustrations out on something that is inexpensive to replace or needs to go away anyway.
  4. Great work and good job keeping your cool. Sometimes I just want to take a bfh to a project that is not going the way I wanted it to. Buck.
  5. Congrats on the well deserved honor of mjotm. Great build!
  6. I would rather get a phone call from Elvis Costello's wife, or is it ex wife now, anyhow, Diana Krall.
  7. Bueller, Beuller, Ferris, anyone?
  8. I think you are thinking of someone else. Mine is an '89 pioneer, the only rare thing about mine is that I am the original owner. I have wanted to put a stroker in mine someday but am leaning towards just beefing up the original engine. It still has great power even with 254k on it and I don't want to change the engine unless I have to. I know I can have this engine stroked out but don't want it to be down that long even though it isn't a daily driver. Buck.
  9. Just chiming in to say that is a great and huge project you are taking on and good luck. Also, I am in the same boat as you, I feel like I know so little compared to so many on this forum, but it is so nice knowing you can get input from others without getting the idiot treatment. Buck
  10. That could be close to me. Where exactly? I will help if I can work it in the schedule, that is almost three weeks. Lake Mary is north of Orlando on I 4. Buck
  11. I could not live without my bedslide. They are expensive but I lucked out and found mine on craigslist. As you can see from my avatar picture it makes it easy to get mulch but the better use is when I haul anything, I don't have to get up in the truck to get it out. I banged my head so many times climbing in and out of my truck. I am a drummer/percussionist and even though my mj is no longer my daily driver, when I use it to haul anything it makes it so much easier. From what I understand you can put over 1000 lbs on them. I have probably put half that weight and it still easily rolls in and out, locks just beyond the lowered tailgate and then locks almost fully extended. Only downside is you lose about 4 inches in height but something I can deal with. Buck.
  12. I don't know if this helps but I had similar problems once and turned out that one of the vacuum lines had gotten pinched somehow. Buck.
  13. Cool pics Brett, thanks! Makes me a little homesick but my blood has thinned out way too much to move anywhere north of the Orlando area. Buck.
  14. I just like the clean look of all black on my tires, my opinion. That may change at some point but now I like lettering in on my mj. Buck.
  15. I was sitting at a light one evening (after dark) and all of a sudden I see the reverse lights come on and the car in front of me start to back up. My horn wasn't working at the time but I was still pushing it and yelling at the same time. The car slams into the front end of my mj and 2 girls get out and the driver was laughing while saying she didn't see me. Unbelievable. Got rearended at the same light by some guy who hit me hard enough to scare the person in front of me to get out to ask if I was ok. Luckily both times the mj was ok.
  16. Adam, all I can say is wow! That is an awesome job you have done on your mj. Hope to take my engine from 4.0 to 4.7 someday also. Ironically about the stripes, I have a pioneer and when I had my truck repainted the 1st time I liked it better without the stripes also. Great that you keep this out of the elements. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge and expertise. Buck.
  17. That is awesome. Great work!
  18. Great work! Keep the pics coming! Buck
  19. That is a great video. Wonder if he ended up with neck problems later in life. Buck.
  20. I just reread your whole thread, I forgot how much work you have done. Awesome job. How close are you to 100k miles? Keep up the great work! Buck.
  21. I went to the parts counter at the local Jeep dealership (after picking up my jaw off the floor after seeing some new Jeep prices) and they printed out a full build sheet from my vin #. I didn't ask them to do it, he offered. It was a brand new dealership and the parts dept wasn't busy so that might be why. Buck
  22. Congrats Austin, great back story on how you got it, impressive what you have done since you bought it. Buck
  23. Welcome! That is a nice mj! Great find and awesome that it only has 88k on it. Buck
  24. Great truck Thorben, I am sure you get a lot of questions and compliments. Do you know of many there in Germany? Congratulations, well deserved! Buck.
  25. That is already a cool story! Good luck and welcome to the mj madness. Buck.
