  1. if we find the ROM that has the air/fuel maps...
  2. if i could read the names of those chips we could figure this out

  5. the 4.0 is heavier? maybe it didn´t need it...
  6. some say that the dakota´s split bench are good too
  7. in a solid axle setup , anything loose in the steering can cause death wooble, worn engine mounts will increase it even more by adding the engine´s weight in the ecuation, more unspring mass, more vibration stop trying to find the exact cuase, the right spot, the right bolt, the precise nut...
  8. pre 4.0 frames are diferent?.
  9. very easy, what will be the donor truck...? make sure is a ax15, avoid the ba10/5 like the plague... the column shifter is no problem, just leave it there...
  10. that´s why i don´t remove the one in mine, after 30 years it´s probably welded shut... imagine all the trouble just for removing this plug if the block cracks...
  11. but then oil will spill somewhere else wouldn´t it?
  12. it´s a long way from the engine to the radiator for the oil to go don´t you think? if you really want to use those lines, how about routing the steering fluid there?
  13. very bad gas mileage, get it serviced...
  14. rebuild it, unless theres something very wrong with it, it will work like new....
  15. bypass it and remove the compressor, mine didn´t came with one...
  16. bring enough extensions for the socket wrench...
  17. did you touch something else when you installed the horn? the only way yo melt a cable that thick is by shorting the battery... btw what about the battery?
  18. is a light duty trannny, so is best for on road use and little or no towing or heavy loads, are you sure is working ok? people usually ditch the BA10/5s because their are already damaged...i prefer a manual anyday but in this case maybe you should keep the aw4
  19. i was going to say the same... is it bent?
  20. get everything from a later 2.5l XJ, axles, transmission, and transfer case, that way the front axle will match your rear (4.11) and it will be Non CAD, sourcing parts from diferent trucks usually leaves you finding good axles that match...
  21. i found out the battery tray in the mj can hold smaller 2 batteries side to side... is any good reason to do it? drawbacks? just saying...
  22. is done, it was all wet and dirty inside... it´s been cold and damp lately, water must have condensated inside with no way to go out...
