  1. is there a way to install this feature on a MJ? now that may comanche can get over 45 mph without rattling like the piece of junk it is i find the steering too sensitive at those speed, i was thinking about a putting a T and some evalves to control the flow of the steering fluid but if there´s an easier way i would like to hear it...
  2. a factory dana 44 from a 92 MJ, it´s a rare item...
  3. you mean dana 44? buy it and keep it for future upgrade if the renix dies
  4. look at that frame rust cancer
  5. a 4.7? i´s following me...
  6. i think china still makes them..
  7. drill a hole for it...
  8. out of a s10 or anything with the chevy pattern yes, just mod/fab the rear support
  9. the ax15 stands the torque of the VM diesels, a humble 2.5l won´t even scratch it, and the trouble of finding a dakota bellhousing... why not use some light duty GM tranny?
  10. that´s a relief, it´s not mine , and the owner is happy revving it up
  11. compared to any other vehicle, unless you step on it it refuses to move, like you say, as if the parking brake was on... so you mean is normal? i didn´t know they sucked that bad...
  12. i know any restriction in the exhaust cuts preformance on the high end, more air coming in needs to go out, but when it comes to low and mid range do you think a leak in the exhaust and thus, less or no backpressure will affect performance? a friend of mine just got a 2001 WJ, a 4.7 v8, and asked me to make some tweaks since he´s new to all jeep stuff. i found a leak on the passenger side manifold, bad idle and a small low end hp and torque loss (above 1600 RPMs it works as it should) and i was wondering if they are related. note: good spark on all cylinders, air/fuel mixture is correct, no vaccum leaks, all good except for the exhaust leak i read somewhere that some backpressure helps on the low end, any ideas?
  13. the amc 20 is round, easy to tell apart and back in 1986, wasn´t jeep using any axle they had in hand? as a result some random Xjs/mjs came with amc 20?
  14. it doesn´t hurt having both, the idiot ligth at least tells you when you are running low on oil pressure if the analogue gauge fails...
  15. NONONONONONONOONONONONOONONONONONONONOONONO * inhales * NONONONONONONONONONOONONONOONO
  16. sounds like a lot of work, fabbing and welding...
  17. Map sensor, Tps sensor... the O2 is ignored during acceleration, the Ecu only uses it with the engine hot, during idle and cruising, at WOT it reverts to open loop
  18. well mine has no thermostat, it was MIA before i got the truck, got rid of the mech fan, the efan was missing ever since i got it, i installed a plastic fan on the waterpump pulley, no overheating problems since then...
  19. gasoline burns dirty, leavesa alot of carbon residue and acids... my old ZJ turned the oil into tar in less than a week after everychange... i[ll show the oil when i[m doen changin it
  20. my MJ on propane gives round 20-22 mpg on the highway, some less in the city, but propane is 40% cheaper, so you must take that into account the 4.0 is rated at 17 mpg when running on gasoline so i´m not doing bad you also save a lot in oil changes, i have not changed the oil in 2 f***ing years and still looks clean, i´m changing it the next weekend because the additives are probably long gone but 2 years? that´s like 5 or 6 oil changes if it was running on gas, all that money can go into propane instead... of course some sacrifices should be made, i´m running on the lean side most of the time, running at no more 2000 rpms, after that it starts losing power, but when it comes to torque i didn´t notice any change, even fully loaded it doesn´t sweat as long as i keep it in the 1600-1800 rpm range unless you install and tweak your lpg system yourself you´ll end up spending more, most lpg mechanics give the engine too much propane to mimic the response as if was running on gas
  21. on a 4.0? sorry they are gas guzzlers go propane like i did...
  22. i want an explanation for that...
  23. does the "Y" style thermostat fit the 4.0? i need a water outlet that goes to the drivers side and bending the heater hoses doesn´t work well...
  24. i still try to figure out who thought the c101 was a good idea... and going from open to closed cooling only to go back to open a few years later...
