AX15 Swap and Identification
MiNi Beast replied to VagaBond Comanches's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Measure input shaft tip for pilot bearing and that should give you the year range of trans. You can check out novak for external bellhousing and parts and even a rebuilt unit. Other wise Id assume your local trans shop would be able to handle a rebuild of your unit. Unless your handy you can pick up a rebuild kit and gets hands on and rebuild the unit yourself. -
Blast from the past.

Cheap buy in that kit is. Simply works how i started out. Source some shocks to go with and add your tires and enjoy catching the bug.

Problem with owning more then one jeep, is when you buy parts for one the other dosent get parts. with having to be yanked out a tree well at the dunes, lost the front splash guard on the jk, so to fix this issue and upgrade at the same time, opted for some skid protection for the start of the jk build up. Capable enough for now, skid plate will ease the mind with that added protection. Engine skid is on backorder so await its arrival. Aluminum is light and stronger then plastic. Easy enough to install as well. MJ as always on guard duty protecting the sunflowers π» -
I have swapped in a 92 ho setup and my fuel reads backwards now. So the more i drive the fuller the tank gets.

Back Tires donβt fitting
MiNi Beast replied to Hi..mynameisHeep's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Yeah you will need a spacer or adapter in the rear unless swap rear axle. Woods truck grind away at your own risk, but suggestion would be pick up another set of rims. Hope you didnt spend to much, for about $250 you could have brand new matching set of steels. Other wise cruise the market π -

Cannot and shouldn't of. Good experience yes but really not worth the effort for just a key. Be amazed what a good locksmith can do for you in that regards.
