Do XJ shackles work on Comanches?
Crash replied to EnlistedManche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Ford F150 shackles. More info and PN around here somewhere -
Update: Bought a 4WD AX-15, should be sometime next week. Installed H4 housings and hella 80/100 bulbs. Re-installed my led cube "fog lights", found a stock apparatus with fog switch so I wired them to that. Buying a matching pair of tires to replace the worn ones I have up front. I currently work (6) 10's per week, but hoping to have my WJ D30 prepped to install in the next couple of weeks. Thinking about purchasing the IM4x4 chromoly WJ steering.

WJ booster upgrade in the works. Couple questions

Carquest sells adapter lines. My plan is to use those and unions to connect to factory lines. -
Flared bed sides and front fenders
Crash replied to EnlistedManche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I almost think making the opening more circular and using flexy flares would look good. -
I'll see if I can find it. But I know there's at least one thread on naxja. Probably here too.

Best way to Lower a Comanche

If you are not already on NAXJA, look for the thread titled "George" In the NorthWest Chapter -
Novak is cable, and aftermarket shifter stick. Boostwerks uses a heim/allthread straight linkage direct from stock shifter to modified lever at the t-case. I'm going to go boostwerks on my MJ, when I do 4WD swap, and will at some point on my XJ. Minus the new t-case side lever, you could source allthread and heim joints local. But, for the price of the kit I think it's worth it.

I've got a couple NIB Dorman ones, good for 87-96 XJ, so 87-92 MJ. DOR 511-103 These typically list anywhere between $140 and $200. But I got mine for a good price, so if you are interested PM me and we can talk.

Aftermarket fog light wiring
Crash replied to Master7122's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I used some chinexican harness off amazon, and just removed the switch from it and connected to a factory switch. I need to get a bulb to illuminate fog light symbol, but the small light in the switch illuminates when lights are turned on. -
IIRC, IRO or RK make a joint style replacement 'bushing? With a 1/2" hole

Best front shock for 6" lift

Bilsteil 7100 come in lots of different valving, and can be rebuilt. -
Usually cheaper to have a ds shortened. There is a chart for ds lengths around. Find your combo and find the length. Maybe measure to confirm. Or just install a front ds and drive it to the shop in 4wd

It's basically GM column. Pretty much any pre95 XJ column, MJ, 80's GM vehicles etc.

ABS shafts or late model D30 shafts use the 297 joints that you can run spicer 760 joints in.

Krustyballer Fabrications
Crash replied to shelbyluvv's topic in Vendors- members making products for MJs
Glad to hear it! Have also thought about wanting a tire carrier bumper. But would also like to see a receiver in it, and potentially be able to flip the tire down to open the tailgate without having to open the carrier. For the taillight boxes, I have a pair of the oval maxxima 'hybrid' led lights. So, hopefully you will offer custom or blank housings. I've started on all that...- 197 replies

A couple things I have thought about are taillight housings and armor that goes to about mid bed from the rear, maybe even including taillight boxes.- 197 replies

Is the vehicle side harness there? If so, the adapter for aftermarket radio is only a few bucks. Otherwise, check fsm/wiring diagrams for the wires and splice into those
