MJRemi
So what is the story behind this video? Who, what , where , why, & when?
glundblad
I remember when we bought ours in '87. The comanche really was ahead of it's time when you compared it to the competition of that same period.

neohic
I like at 10:04 where the dude talks about the resale value being higher than the suggested list price. Is that where the rest of the world get's their overpriced ideas of selling their non-running, no rockers, no floors, torn upholstery, twisted up of what's left of the rusted frame, but all the electrical still works type of MJs for a mint? :hmm: Neat video. I like it!

skidoo_j
Maybe I'm too young, but I don't remember 1989 being that military gun ho, seems like this would have been more appropriate for 1950's.
Dadinator
89 was just after the Reagan years. Not so much gun ho, but more pride in USA than the dismal 70's.
Pete M
can't help but notice that there's a longbed in the frame while they talk about the 113" wheelbase. :D best small pickup ever. :MJ 1:

JeepnDale
WooHoo! I must be one of the lucky few that got the "highly decorated veteran" 89 Pioneer with one of those optional packages he talks about at 8:40! I have the 4.0L and the one ton package! I love my "full, dressed out soldier'!! LOL Seriously, this totally made my day. I can't wait to show it to the spouse, who practically rolled her eyes at my MJ when she 1st saw it.....this'll show her.....LOL.

Minuit
Seeing all this footage of new MJs is killing me. Makes me want to go out and spend money that doesn't exist making mine look like the ones in the video! :fs1: Some day... 80s Jeep advertising is the best. P.S. I think this stuff needs to be stickied for all to see forever.
