comanche12
removed my front long axle shaft(passenger side)... guess what i noticed, its rusted and cover by dirts! :fs1: then i sudden check the seal. there even no axle shaft seal. and there mud/sand/leftover water inside in the long side axle tube.... :headpop: i sudden put my parts and axle in purple power and start think how to clean the craps from my axle. power wash would be most easy way to remove dirts from inside but wish have a way to use purple power to power wash with it. hopefully my bearings and other parts from inside r ok. :fs2: to preowner again! dirt in there is pretty normal. to clean it, you can put some extensions on a shop vac and just suck it all out. the seal by the diff is fine as long as there's no oil dripping out the end of your axle tube. well there dripping out the end of my axle tube... passenger side so I'm sure that seal is no good. 2360
Removed the TPS (throttle position sensor) and idle stepper motor.. The engine was reving around 2k rpm's, it took 15-20 minutes for it to kick down. So I cleaned the brass tip on the stepper motor for no particular reason and put it back together. And now (so far) it's running at a smooth 500-600 rpm's at idle. :clapping:

deziped
Slow around here today so I checked it's oil. Added 5 oz. so thats pretty good for 2134 miles since last change on 10 Oct 09. The oil is still light color. So at that rate I won't look at it again until Winter is over with.

beaterheep
saved a chevy after it broke 2 body mounts when it slid over on a ledge, couldnt start the truck cause the fan wouldve taken out the radiator. had to drag it forward then push it down off the ledge. the manche crawled all around it like a spider on the wall... jeepcoma
Had a terrible vibe show up overnight. Removed the front driveshaft and problem gone, so time to replace all the ujoints. Turning into a bigger project, some I've been putting off for a while but I want to get everything tip-top before winter. Did this week: pulled front axle removed LCAs replaced axle-side UCA bushings swap coils for V8 ZJ coils to balance the MT rears ordered parts looked at rust underneath :ack: :grrrr: :help: to do next week: cut UCAs off frame replace UCA/LCA bushings check pinion angle of rear axle and shim to correct angle? replace all ujoints put back together

Pete M
yup. you just need to nip a bit off the steel bushing. I also trimmed a bit of the arm itself for maximum wheel travel, but that's not entirely necessary.
