Charged the battery, replaced the altenator belt. Started it, and removed the positive battery cable to see if the alt. was good. The AAA guy said it wasn't charging. When I pulled off the cable it kept running. :hmm: I'm thinking I saved about $70.00+

Pulled off the front bumper, remounted the KC amber fog lights to the OEM-style location, and reinstalled. Then I took her to the store to buy some Rogue Ales' Dead Guy Ale after the Rangers beat the Yankees.

(oops, looks like I missed a spot inside that passenger vent) Consider it done.

I don't need a new truck to get that "pride of owning a new truck feeling". I get more looks and more compliments on this 22 year old truck than most people get on their brand new ones. jamminz.gif Gotta love it!!!

removed my front long axle shaft(passenger side)... guess what i noticed, its rusted and cover by dirts! :fs1:

then i sudden check the seal. there even no axle shaft seal. and there mud/sand/leftover water inside in the long side axle tube.... :headpop:

i sudden put my parts and axle in purple power and start think how to clean the craps from my axle. power wash would be most easy way to remove dirts from inside but wish have a way to use purple power to power wash with it.

hopefully my bearings and other parts from inside r ok.

:fs2: to preowner again!

You sure? Where are you looking for the seals for? Because they ain't on the end of the axle tube.

Only the last few inches of the axleshafts are past the seal. Seals are almost inside the diff. There's no point in lubricating the entire shaft.

Well lubracting's not just for shaft. oil lubricating the bearing, gears, etc. inside, seals jobs are blocking dirts from outside and keep oil stay inside without leaking

here whats I'm missing: its circled in gray

Sure its not hiding behind the carrier? I know on my D30's I have to pull the carrier out to service the seals.

dirt in there is pretty normal. to clean it, you can put some extensions on a shop vac and just suck it all out. the seal by the diff is fine as long as there's no oil dripping out the end of your axle tube.
