She has to work again Sunday morning. She is lucky she has Saturday off. Her hours have been going from mids to days for a few weeks now. She is a 911 dispatcher and works every other weekend as well. We don't get a whole lot of time together. She goes to work at 1600, I get home at 1700, I go to bed at 2200ish, she gets home at 2330, I wake up at 0530, She gets up at 0730. I am already at work by then. As you can see we don't have much time together. I'm not whining by any means, I just want y'all to understand how inconvenient Birmingham is for us. If we don't make it you know why.

I think the after market shackle has a smaller bushing and the pocket is crushed in a bit to compensate for it. I could be wrong though. Measure your upper shackle bushing and post the specs.

Toyota's are good trucks and hold their re-sale value. If I was in the market for a newer small truck I would be looking at a Toyota of any vintage. I had a few 79-81 trucks and they are bullet proof. I actually miss them. If you do decide to let the MJ go I want first crack at buying it John.

The parking brake recall was for the 86 MJ only.

My buddy JB welded his and drove from NC to TX. He is still driving it with the JB weld on it. Drain the coolant, clean the block with carb cleaner and then apply the JB weld. Let it sit for 24 hours before filling it back up or starting it.

I quit using them. It seems like everything I want is shipping from a different warehouse. They charge shipping from each warehouse. I have been using Amazon Prime for all my parts as of late.
