  1. Late 80s Dodge Daytona intercooler/rad setup.
  2. It's junk. Older Datsuns rust as bad or worse than MJs.
  3. Dorman pn# 511103 87-96 XJ and MJs
  4. John I'll take the measurements after I get all the chemicals out of it.
  5. I guess it is working on the inside of the tank.
  6. Harbor Freight has it too
  7. Sounds good. If the Evapo-rust doesn't work it's yours
  8. This tank will probably end up in the scrap pile. I am making no progress on getting this rust out of it.
  9. I checked the fill and vent tubes and they hang down about 6" from the top of the tank.
  10. Hmmmm... what gives? The only thing inside is the slosh pan.
  11. I know this truck is a very early truck. The VIN tells me that. What I was getting at is the tag says 16.0 GAL and that is quite clearly a 23.5 gallon tank
  12. The numbers and letters below the date is what is confusing me.
  13. This is the factory tank out of my 86. Something is off with this tag?
  14. I got it from the Evapo-rust people at a SEMA show a while back. I decided to finally try it. You find it at Wal-Mart though. I'm impressed with it. I am going to use it on my tank next. I'll tell you how it goes.
  15. And after a quick wipe down with WD40 to keep it from rusting again.
  16. This is my uber rare HO MJ fuel sender. This is what ethanol fuel will do if you leave it sit for 4 years unused. I'm sure my tank is just as bad! This is the pump holder after only 10 minutes in the juice. I'm impressed so far. I am going to leave the sender in for a bit longer and see how it goes.
  17. Gotcha! The positive leg of the LED will be on the fused 12v power wire. I appreciate the help. I didn't know anything about this stuff until yesterday. I love playing with electrical stuff.
  18. There is no TCM on this trans. The only computer controlled parts are the TCC and the OD. The 46RH is a 4 speed 6th generation Rear wheel drive Hydraulic transmission I don't understand what you mean by they drew it incorrectly?
  19. The button is located on the shifter. It will take the 46RH trans out of OD and hold it there until you press the button again or turn the truck off. I want the shift light to be my OD off light. A arrow pointing up seems logical to me. Plus, I like to overcomplicate things.
  20. I spent most of my day chasing wires and staring at schematics. This is what i came up with. Yes there is three different wiring harnesses in my truck. Can someone check this and make sure I did it right? I am not sure which side of the LED should be positive and which side should be negative.
  21. It is a 6.8k +- 5% resistor. Blue Gray Red Gold The diode has a blue band with two large blue dots on one side and two small blue dot on the other side. The dots are right below the blue band.
  22. I need help building this switch setup. I have the rear defog/OD board out of a 93 ZJ. I am trying to mimic this on my MJ with a 5.2 Magnum. I have blacked out all of the rear defog circuits. All I need is the OD circuit layed out. My plan is to use a WJ shifter with the OD off button on it. I also want to use the Shift light on a 94 XJ dash cluster. I will use an LED bulb in the socket. Back of the board Front of the board D2 is a diode (what kind?) R2 is a resistor (what kind?) SW2 is the OD switch LE2 is the OD Off LED I'll only be using pins 4-7 for the power and what not. PIN 4 is fused power PIN 5 is Trans OD lamp PCM 37 PIN 6 is Trans OD pressure on PCM 10 PIN 7 is ground I have a good idea of how it works but I do not know anything about resistors and diodes. Can someone please lay this out and tell what diode and resistor I need?
  23. It's a ground for the dash cluster.
  24. I am back to working on the 86. I have a plug under the dash with a wire that is confusing me. I can't seem to find them on my diagrams. The dash harness is out of a 94 XJ. This is the plug. It goes to the speedometer. The wires in question are the two BLK/GRN wires going into the lower left corner. I think they are for the reverse or neutral safety? Any help would be appreciated!
