  3. Well I am long on my way to finishing my flares. Let me tell you right now this is a pain in the a$$ and very pricey. You will need 2 Left flares and 2 right flares to do this. I have almost finished the left side. I will finish the sanding and painting when it warms up. My garage is pretty cold. Notice I don't have a garage. Here are a few pics of the flare cut and taped together.
  4. Just leave the stock harness in place and plug the light into one of the the new lense holes and leave the other one empty. Or you can cut and splice the new harness into your stocker.
  5. I have 35" MT/Rs on my Xj and I love them! They are the best tire I have ever owned. I play a lot in the rock thought. I have 36K on this set and they are good for another 15-20K easy.
  6. Welcome to the board. Glad you found us. My offer still stands.
  7. nope can't be done, this is my 86 with a 2000 clip. The hood is my stock hood. The only thing I had to do to make it fit was cut 2 knotches out of the header panel for the rad support to clear. Very easy to do. I pulled 2 clips off (the 2000 and mine) and put this one on in 3 hours. I have a newer limited bumper to put on as well to finish the look.
  8. You know a 4.3 will not bolt to your stock tranny right? The bolt patterns on the 4.3 and 2.8 are totally different. The easiest bolt in would be a 3.4 out of a Camaro or Fireturd. Same pattern as the 2.8 with more power to boot. Just something else for you to look into.
  9. I am a fan, I watch every weekend. Been to a few races as well. I am a Dodge man so I could not really get into to much a few years back. I just could not bring myself to root for a shivvy or a fode. Now that Ma Mopar is back in it. I am a happy camper. Go Rusty! I am screwed again next season, need to find a new driver, ?????
  10. Wouldn't have pics of that would you?? As a matter of fact I do. Here is a little background on the Starline MJ's. In 86 a Jeep dealer in Indiana (unsure which one) had sent a handful of MJ's to Starline to get the interior and paint done. By talking with the folks at Starline RV we could only acount for 4 or 5 getting this makeover. The conversion included towing mirrors, push bar, sliding rear glass, bed liner, stripes down the sides and a really cool oak and velour interior re-work. I picked this one up for $125 in PA from my uncle. It was a 2.8 4x4 auto. I kept it for about a year and never really did anything to it other than clean it up. I got orders to California and had to sell all non-drivers. Sold it to a guy in Indianna. So she is back in her home state. Last I heard it was now a chop bed, full width, turbo diesel trail dog. Here are the pics,
  11. I am a new MJ owner again. I had a 86 Starline RV conversion MJ I sold a few years back. I just recently picked up another 86. I got the rust free, 2.5, 4x4 beast for $400. It needed a AX-5. I picked one up for $100 and it runs great now. On with the show, Robert.
