  1. I spliced in the ZJ under hood harness to a 94 XJ under hood harness. I used a 94 XJ interior harness, gauges and a 92 MJ fuel sender in the tank. The MJ rear harness is adapted to the XJ interior harness.
  2. We are still the mens department of the Navy!
  3. It can invert if you flex it out too much
  4. It should be inside on the left rear bed rail lip
  5. Right on the back left corner. There SHOULD be a tag riveted to the lip. All three of my caps have it.
  6. You need the Ser # so they can look it up. They can't do anything without it.
  7. You could put an XJ shackle on it. That would drop it about 3/4".
  8. They're know to sit really, really high. Load it down for a few weeks. Hopefully it'll settle them.
  9. Where did you get the springs from? Standard or metric ton? You need to load the bed down and leave the weight in there to really settle the springs.
  10. Go to a Leer dealer with the Ser # of the shell. They will be able to find you exactly what parts it was born with and order the glass.
  11. I did a 5.2 from a 2.5. The 4.0 swap isn't worth it. I wouldn't recommend it.
  12. John, it has GA tags still. I will be moving to Arizona once we buy a house in the next few months. No front plate for me.
  13. He was thinking it was for the Cherokee. Then saw two other Jeeps and got confused. He was a young kid and was worried at first about it fitting right. Once he saw the 96 XJ was the same body as the 86 MJ, he was all about putting it in the 97 converted 89.
  14. Gave my girl some much needed love today. I had Safelite install a 96+ windshield and my solid rear window. Hopefully this cures most of my leaks.
  15. Those caps a bigger than you think they are. With the air dam the price would not be much less. It takes a pretty big box for them and the air dam.
  16. I have one but shipping would be expensive. I gently trimmed the caps to clear 32s on 4.5".
  17. Replace them! I've tried just about everything to get them clean. Steam, detergents, soaking, scrubbing, high pressure water. Nothing is working. I'm at a loss with them.
  18. Here's a pic of the passenger side fully dry. This side was worse than the driver's side. I should have taken a pic. The carpet was black and so was the seat.
  19. I'm getting really attached to this little Jeep. There is just something about that just looks classy to me. I'm going to cry if my step daughter wrecks it.
  20. Thanks Don. I did them in the Jeep. I just sprayed them down with a hose, scrubbed with the Dawn, let sit for 15 mins, rinsed them with the hose while sucking the water up with my shop vac. I had to do this three times to get the tar/grease out of them. I kept going over them until I could not see any more water being sucked out. I drilled a hole in my vacuum attachment so I could watch the water being removed. It worked dam good.
  21. The outside is very clean but the interior was nasty. I spent a few hours this morning scrubbing the seats and carpet. I used a mixture of Blue Coral Wash and Wax and Dawn. It worked very well. I used my shop vac to get most of the water out. The seat was still really wet in this pic. It lightened up a lot more once it was dry. I had to give some love to the 4.0 while I had all the tools out.
  22. You just helped me pick her name. Safia, meaning pure in Arabic. This Jeep will get driveability improvements but will remain stock appearing.
  23. B&B in 29 Palms. He has 2 MJs and a few XJs. Most are picked over pretty good. The MJs are trashed.
