I like my TH. I just don't think it will ever be half the Jeep my XJ was.

Pick the color you want. Don't worry what other people think. It's your truck. It is not an "X" model either. That was an 86 only option. Run the VIN through a couple of the online decoders and it should tell you model you have.

It could be worse Ben!

I have driven the TH in the sand and mud. I am very impressed with the little guy. I am however not impressed with the www.jeepcherokeeclub.com forum. That board is full of rich, arrogant pricks. The persona that Trailhawk owners are snobs is 100% true with them. If you even mention the fact that it has limitations they will attack you at every angle. I am not a new Jeep owner like half of them are. I know and accept the limitations of my KL. Let's face facts here... It is a car. It has plastic bumpers. It has no ground clearance. It is FWD until the transfer is engaged. It has IFS and IRS. It does not flex. The only lift is a $700 coil spacer, um no! At best it is a bunny slope, easy line wheeler. It is not and never will be a hard core crawler like a real solid axle rig.

No! His packs have a history of busting the main leaf. Also he is a crook. cRusty's rates right up there with Rocky Road. Google them and you'll see his $#!&ty reviews. Build your own kit. Use either Hell Creek or General full spring packs. I prefer HC as I have them and know they're good leaf packs.

LOL, we had a little SNAFU with the first go round on the tube step. I say we like I was there helping. He had to order a new stick of tube for the step. It should be in and Brandon will get it done in a few days. -

He can build LWB sliders as well. -

I'm waiting to see them on my truck! This whole process has been great. I am glad I went with Brandon's sliders (and rear bumper). I will happily throw a few dollars extra to get a outstanding club member a toe hold. You have everything you need now man. I can't wait to see where you take it. Good luck and I hope you have all the success you can handle! -

I'm coming your way this fall. I'll be getting in touch with you to do some Vegas wheeling. Congrats man, well deserved! -
There's a guy on my KL board that has his Trailhawk painted to mimic the Dakar. I personally want mine to be closer to the Trail Carver concept. Just wait until you guys see Onyx in a few months. Just think white MJ Trailhawk...

RC bumper, Stinger or light bar?
shelbyluvv replied to Paul Bruchal's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I'm picking up the stinger because it actually looks mean If you say so. It screams mall crawler and pavement princess to me. -
What are these plugs for?
shelbyluvv replied to D Standard's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
The up shift light is my overdrive off light on my V8 powered MJ. -
RC bumper, Stinger or light bar?
shelbyluvv replied to Paul Bruchal's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Don't put a stinger on it. That is the most mall rated mod you can possibly do. I personally think they look idiotic on anything. It ranks right up there with a snorkel... -
drill/ slotted rotors??
shelbyluvv replied to tarmac2dirt's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Do not get drilled rotors. If you choose to still get them get dimpled and slotted rotors. Drilled rotors crack at the holes. There is very little improvement with them though. I run them on my Cummins but I tow heavy and often. On a stockish MJ the juice ain't worth the squeeze. -
As was I. When I see talk of him blowing money on Jeep junk it pisses me off. I see him in the classifieds all the time. I've called him out as well. I am STILL active duty Marine Corps. Maybe it's a pride thing but I sure as $h!t would not be posting on a forum if I was in that situation. I would be working. I find it hard to believe that the VFW and other vet groups won't help find him a job. I hope for that baby's sake he gets his priorities straight.

Like Pete said. 93-98 Grand Cherokees with a V8 have 3:73s. A lot of the 4.0 ZJs have them as well. They are everywhere in the junk yard.

I hated to back out of the Nate's deal but I wanted to support an actual active member of this club. I want to see him start "Scar Fabrications" "Chicks dig Scars, Glory lasts forever!" -
Only one I know if making parts is Rocky Road. But....we know how that road ends. The Mopar sliders are $852. RRO Super Sliders are $538. As much as I hate RRO, I may be forced to buy from them again. The guys on www.JeepCherokeeClub.com have very few complaints about RRO's sliders. It is still the same customer service issues though. I really hope I can stumble on some Mopar rails for around $500. I paid a few grand less for it. I did a lot of shopping around and the going rate for low mileage Trail Hawks is $26,000+!

It has the 3.2 with the tow group. That lowers the gear ratio to 3.517 and increases the towing capacity to 4500# over the standard 2000#. 245/70/17 is the biggest you can run on a stocker. No lift is available yet and there may never be one. RRO has a front winch mount and sliders, Mopar has sliders has well. Bumpers are "in the works".

We drove 9 hours round trip to go get our KL Trailhawk. I can honestly say that I love this thing. It has power for days, is comfortable as hell, has a rear locker and looks killer. Say hello to Snowbird.
