  1. For $550 the Synergy kit just got knocked off my list. I will continue to use ZJ parts.
  2. You can jump the solenoid with a screw driver to test it. It is best to remove it and test it. It is only a 10 minute job.
  3. Bench test the starter first. I have had them die within a year.
  4. They are YJ front springs
  5. You need to find a different drive shaft shop. When Tom Woods made my shaft it fit the very first time.
  6. From the other tail light thread http://m.ebay.com/itm/351268946429?_mwBanner=1
  7. Wouldn't be hard. All you would need is these http://m.ebay.com/itm/351268946429?_mwBanner=1
  8. I hope someone besides cRusty's produces them. I refuse to give that guy anymore of my money.
  9. What I said is true. The 86 is the only year with a different engine bay.
  10. They may have a similar shock but they do not have stock length XJ shocks on the rear of a MJ. The rear shocks are 3" longer on a MJ than a XJ. That means sitting still the XJ shock would be at its full extension.
  11. Something tells me they would to short for the rear of an MJ.
  12. Jeep Driver is on a vacation from this forum.
  13. We made a trip to Bama to get her a new hat yesterday. The truck did great all day long. we put over 400 miles on it and she did it without a single hiccup. I was so excited, the wife... Not so much! up In all honesty she was fine. We don't get many weekends together and we got to spend all day together yesterday. Today I picked up $8 worth of cheap Wally World flat black paint and painted the shell to match the truck.
  14. I worked out a deal with 1992EliminatorSWB4x4 to buy his SWB shell. The wife and I drove the MJ up and picked it up. Bill and I chatted and looked over the trucks while our ladies did woman things. I was speechless looking at is truck. It is beautiful. It was great meeting you guys today. Once we had the shell secured we headed south to pick up some bumpers from bmxstreet6. I snuck in the auto skills center while he was removing the rear bumper. The NY winter had a time with the bolts and we had to wrestle with it for a bit. We got it off and loaded into my truck. He was a great guy and has a really nice truck. I crawled around in it and under it and it is clean! It was an amazing day. The MJ did just as I expected and made the 400 mile trip without any issues. I got to spend time with my wife and met some cool guys.
  15. The only engine bays that are different is that of the 86 and 87+. You can still get a 4.0 or a V8 in an 86 engine bay. It just isn't as easy as the 87+.
  16. V8 ZJ in MOOG. Best bang for your buck.
  17. The difference between 33s and my current 265s was dramatic. I can live with the way it is now. There is no way that I would run 33s on 3.55s again.
  18. I have a Dana 44 and I am SUA also. It isn't terrible with the 3.55s and 32s but it could be a lot better. I get about 17mpg and have decent power.
  19. My 89 is sitting on 4.5" lift with 265/75r16s (32s) and it is perfect for dd/ww duties. I still have 3.55 gears but will be going to 4.10s pretty soon. I don't think you'll be disappointed with 4.5" of lift.
  20. EBay or Quadratech has them. They were used on export Jeeps.
  21. If you are running 2.5" all the way from the header to the muffler. I would finish off the rest with it. It can't hurt.
  22. Huh? It's a stock tail pipe. It's fine.
  23. Right across the border in Albany Georgia. The car has 33k on it. Runs great. New tires. The rear bumper has a tear in it from the wife backing into a ledge. $6000
  24. I still have that 2010 Caliber stick for a decent price....
