In ‘88 the 4.0L had a closed cooling system, no fill neck on the radiator, a plastic pressure bottle on passenger side firewall and no overflow tank, hence closed. People swap to open by usually adding a radiator that has a fill neck and an overflow bottle which is called open because it’s open to the environment. Snap a picture of your setup. p.s. the pic you posted is an open system and it’s not a V6 as in your signature, it’s an inline 6.

From the ‘92 factory service manual: Open the right front bleeder Depress brake pedal and hold Start engine, brake light should stay on after engine starts indicating bypass valve has moved (sensed front brake leak) Turn off engine, leave bleeder open, release parking brake Bleed left rear Bleed right rear Bleed righ front (close bleeder when done) Bleed left front then repeat bleeding with right caliper closed

How many pounds did you get?

My three are all like above and that’s what’s shown in the 87-90 parts manual. Not sure why the rod (#9) specifically says 6 cyl but no 4 cyl is listed. 22 & 23 are for diesel.
