  1. That’s what I was leaning towards doing but am hesitant. Got a pic of it just to get an idea? Anyone have a straight from the factory set up? Even an XJ pic will do.
  2. Have any of you guys installed a set before? If so, what was done about the air dam to get the hooks through?
  3. 1. Let me check the catalogue. Yes, short and long beds are the same for the rear brake cable distribution. 2. No they didn't have XJ hand brakes. But others have adapted such to work with MJ's. 3. I have a similar problem except it was a grinding sound from the cable hitting the drum then became where the cable was scraping the inside of the rim and took a bit of the rim off as well. Damn useless springs. Also it seems like the cables don't like to stay where they should.
  4. That’s not entirely true. There’s the MTS ones JMO used but got mixed results.
  5. I have NOS air shocks. Fronts are compatible but the tears need to be modified. But I’m not sure if an air bag kit exists.
  6. It is a Chrysler number. My 88 is made with all AMC parts except the passenger side window, that bears the Pentastar. All AMC numbers started with an 89 followed by the part number on every part that was made by AMC. If Chrysler used the part and never changed the design say the sidelamp markers, the lamp bezels or any part that remained the same from 84-96 still have the old AMC number stamped on it. Genuine Chrysler parts are stamped with a Pentastar while AMC parts have either AMC or the logo stamped on it. If its an H.O. part it will be Chrysler. If its Renix it will have AMC on it. I have a few parts that are both stamped with AMC and the Pentastar, but anything that goes on an H.O. engine is Chrysler. I have yet to run into an AMC stamped part number that doesn't appear in the catalogue. But I have run into Chrysler stamped numbers that are not recognized.
  7. No problem. I will gladly provide input in your new post in the tech side!
  8. I found that most of the mounts and stuff from the Chrysler era don't exist at all. Its like Chrysler had one number while the part had another number. Perhaps the dual ID system we never use to search parts?

  10. Alrighty. If you need help, post in the tech what your problem is. This area is for the registry of all our trucks. Not everyone is gonna look at these to help you out with your problem. I'll gladly post a build date and sheet for you.
  11. I have excellent news gentlemen!! Phoenix graphics has accepted the challenge to reproduce the decal. I will send mine in to have it copied. It’s gonna be a tad bit pricey at like $55 which isn’t terrible. So once I get the copy back I will contact who ever is interested to get a number of how many I should have them produce. I know I said $23 but the guy told me about $45 to make. Course cost may come down after they receive the decal. I will update this as more unravels.
  12. Probably powder coating will be your best bet if you want it to last for another 30. Cheap end would be a good spray paint and clear but that will last maybe a few years max.
  13. No. It was used on '86 and '87 models but I don't see why it wouldn't work for them. I would go with high output though for the Chrysler H.O. system. But that's just me. Fuel injection is fuel injection.
  14. They are vinyl but really cheap to make, I've had them on for a week now and have not had any issues with the lights on but I believe that they probably will brake down at some point.
  15. Bumping this Along with the decal above(which I still need to get ahold of that company, just been lazy) would anyone like these produced for any of their aux/fog lights? They aren’t big. About an inch tall and inch and a half long. They aren’t made by me but have access to get them.
  16. Glad you got her going again. I learned the same about a year ago. Even with the driveshaft in the way you can still service every part of the fuel tank without dropping anything at all. Its almost like it was designed by lazy but smart and cheap people.
  17. Thank you gentlemen and Mike, they were NOS but they were just too awesome to not put on! I love it, a lot more of what I have done and added pops out at you now and doesn't blend with its age. Still need to put on the running boards, looks lifted without them.
  18. My grandfather(not the one who owned LR) had a ‘03 and then had an ‘07? He traded his ‘03 for a newer but unique color code tundra but either never let him down. He took such good care of them that they still looked new on both in and out. They are pretty damn good and reliable. He never had a problem and always had took them to the dealer to be serviced. Never had an issue at all.
  19. Alright. Since I’m or side decorating for the holidays. Might as well show y’all before the Pioneer decal goes on.
  20. This is what I sent him: I had a selec-trac but sold it to another member.
  21. So I would say Little Red is about 80% complete. Everything is now back on except the decals, running boards, tailgate cover, bed mat and the door panels. I like the paint and the job we did. Not factory perfect but still. Course she looks like a red brick with white walls and 15" aluminums right now. I'm impressed with myself that I got all the nameplates in or close to the factory locations. I love it! I think I should probably polish up the paint first before the decal but that will see if the decal gets put on tomorrow or not. Also a spectacular and my favorite touch is these decals: I asked my girl to whip me up a couple AMC logos with her vinyl cutter and she delivered. When I went to get the Cargo lamp and switch plate the other day, I was greeted by another member(MJCARENA) who was selling those parts on CL. He likes the decals but told me I cheated but still liked them and called them a nice touch to the lamps. New things to install/do: vanity mirror visor, cargo lamp bezel(will cut and splice with fog), AMC radio(still), fuel tank hose to cannister, spray in liner, newer drivers side mirror. I think that's it, for now.
  22. It’s been a while since I have heard from him but I can assure you that what he has been working on is a surprise to be sure but a welcome one.
  23. Sounds good. I may just end up doing the new door handle route.
  24. HOLY SCHNIKES!!
  25. On the fuse box. Big rectangle box closest to the wall on the drivers side kick panel. It will either be blue or black
