  1. Thank you guys. Its been hell of a journey and a learning experience! From sitting in a back yard rotting away and being beat up to how I would have custom ordered her from an AMC dealer. If it wasn't for this club, I don't know where she would be now. Maybe not running. I think Pete said once that you are truly never finished with these trucks and he is right, there are still more things for me to do and add. I enjoy aiding in the knowledge and locating NOS parts for y'all, its pretty exciting and fun hunting down those parts. Have a great holiday season everyone! Stay tuned for the Pioneer decals!
  2. I found it. Putting it here for my future reference when I figure out why some of my front end is a tad bit tweaked.
  3. As Pete always says, "welcome to the addiction and madness!"

  7. I will have to go hunt it down.
  8. Yup, I have every factory piece I need to install them. Looks like what I just need to do is take on of those drill saws and just cut a circle out on the air dam.
  9. Actually the VIN won't say which package you have. JMO posted what each digit means from his parts catalogue, I think he has 89-?. I need to post what the 86-88 digits mean as I have those old catalogues.
  10. What was said about such as to paraphrase what I remember from what Pete said is that it came with the program they use for the site.
  11. I think there's a NOS pump left but for how much it costs you do not want it. But yes Bosch was the OEM supplier
  12. Pretty much it looks like it needs to be an inch longer than the non hook opening. Ok. I think I can figure out how to do that. Thanks fiat!
  13. That’s what I was leaning towards doing but am hesitant. Got a pic of it just to get an idea? Anyone have a straight from the factory set up? Even an XJ pic will do.
  14. Have any of you guys installed a set before? If so, what was done about the air dam to get the hooks through?
  15. 1. Let me check the catalogue. Yes, short and long beds are the same for the rear brake cable distribution. 2. No they didn't have XJ hand brakes. But others have adapted such to work with MJ's. 3. I have a similar problem except it was a grinding sound from the cable hitting the drum then became where the cable was scraping the inside of the rim and took a bit of the rim off as well. Damn useless springs. Also it seems like the cables don't like to stay where they should.
  16. That’s not entirely true. There’s the MTS ones JMO used but got mixed results.
  17. I have NOS air shocks. Fronts are compatible but the tears need to be modified. But I’m not sure if an air bag kit exists.
  18. It is a Chrysler number. My 88 is made with all AMC parts except the passenger side window, that bears the Pentastar. All AMC numbers started with an 89 followed by the part number on every part that was made by AMC. If Chrysler used the part and never changed the design say the sidelamp markers, the lamp bezels or any part that remained the same from 84-96 still have the old AMC number stamped on it. Genuine Chrysler parts are stamped with a Pentastar while AMC parts have either AMC or the logo stamped on it. If its an H.O. part it will be Chrysler. If its Renix it will have AMC on it. I have a few parts that are both stamped with AMC and the Pentastar, but anything that goes on an H.O. engine is Chrysler. I have yet to run into an AMC stamped part number that doesn't appear in the catalogue. But I have run into Chrysler stamped numbers that are not recognized.
  19. No problem. I will gladly provide input in your new post in the tech side!
  20. I found that most of the mounts and stuff from the Chrysler era don't exist at all. Its like Chrysler had one number while the part had another number. Perhaps the dual ID system we never use to search parts?

  22. Alrighty. If you need help, post in the tech what your problem is. This area is for the registry of all our trucks. Not everyone is gonna look at these to help you out with your problem. I'll gladly post a build date and sheet for you.
  23. I have excellent news gentlemen!! Phoenix graphics has accepted the challenge to reproduce the decal. I will send mine in to have it copied. It’s gonna be a tad bit pricey at like $55 which isn’t terrible. So once I get the copy back I will contact who ever is interested to get a number of how many I should have them produce. I know I said $23 but the guy told me about $45 to make. Course cost may come down after they receive the decal. I will update this as more unravels.
  24. Probably powder coating will be your best bet if you want it to last for another 30. Cheap end would be a good spray paint and clear but that will last maybe a few years max.
  25. No. It was used on '86 and '87 models but I don't see why it wouldn't work for them. I would go with high output though for the Chrysler H.O. system. But that's just me. Fuel injection is fuel injection.
