Fuel Line O-rings
eaglescout526 replied to WahooSteeler's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I have a few of those repair kits. There’s plenty from Chrysler. They come in handy. Now if only I could find the right flare nut to repair my original supply line. -
Snag 'em and bag 'em!
-
I just added my set today and I have 2WD. Not a bad idea to have them plus they look pretty cool. There is an aftermarket set out there you can buy but the bumper bracket doesn't have the OEM holes to allow the bumper to move forward for the hidden winch.

Yup, that's how I drove in the AZ summer, driver and rear window open. Grandfather told me that when he said "There is no AC, just windows down at 40, that's your AC."
-
That's fair, someone really would have to be a stickler if they were looking. But it doesn't actually look noticeable with everything in place, pretty much hidden if anything.

Nice, looks like a fun porject! I wish I had my truck in high school, oh well. But that 2.5L is pretty base, no AC or power steering, take care of it and it will take care of you forever.

Well I got a couple things knocked off my to do list and one kinda failed. But first tow hooks Here's how I did it. I took a Dremel cut off wheel and just slowly worked a straight line on the air dam to the point where I could get it to flex and fold to allow the hooks to go through. It’s ugly I will say that. Would’ve been a lot easier if I just did a hole, but what’s done is done Cleaned up my area of the garage and broke two bolts off of the bumper bracket to change it out. I might goof around with it and try to remove the broken bolts tomorrow.

factory build sheet
eaglescout526 replied to tarmac2dirt's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I found a piece of the build sheet under the floor vents when I tore my dash out. And fiat is right. I will post up a build sheet of your truck in the registry. -
Hmm. I don't know about the 4.0. It should be just a sensor on a pipe for power steering and not on the pump itself. I will be sure to get thorough and detailed pics for ya.

Alrighty. It’s a goal to get pictures today. The holidays and such is madness. Anyways that top plug goes to a sensor on the power steering pump pipe. The oil pressure should be just a single plug with black rubber on it to protect the plug itself and the alt should be a GM looking plug that is rectangle in shape.

Simple cruise control wiring question

Warren. I searched up and down left and right for that tester. Only one showed up on eBay and the seller wanted $325 for it. It is a non existent tool sadly. -
Simple cruise control wiring question
eaglescout526 replied to Big Dan's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Well there is one way to test the harness and I just used a test light to test some of the components like the stalk control. There is a servo test procedure in the FSM that I did to make sure both my servos were good. But for testing the box, there really isn't a way to test it, but how the dealer "tested" it is you have to set the dials at the 10 10 and 3 o clock positions. The two tens would be the dials closest to each other and the three o clock being the dial on the other side. That's how the dealers tested it just to give a base to function. The pulse generator requires you to lift the vehicle in the air and test the pulse sensor with the vehicle on and in gear with a multimeter to test the output. I can't remember if it is in AC or DC you test the pulses. As Warren said, vac lines can be a culprit to. I will have to get to my FSM tomorrow unless you have the electronic one to consult. I to a degree documented it but didn't in my build. -
That has PHX AZ on it. Neat!
