  3. Well I got a couple things knocked off my to do list and one kinda failed. But first tow hooks Here's how I did it. I took a Dremel cut off wheel and just slowly worked a straight line on the air dam to the point where I could get it to flex and fold to allow the hooks to go through. It’s ugly I will say that. Would’ve been a lot easier if I just did a hole, but what’s done is done Cleaned up my area of the garage and broke two bolts off of the bumper bracket to change it out. I might goof around with it and try to remove the broken bolts tomorrow.
  4. Looks like I can add a paint color to the master list.
  5. That part can be hard from vintage parts. Didn't get to help you in time.
  6. Don't quote me on such, Ohm would know better than me but I don't see why not.
  7. I found a piece of the build sheet under the floor vents when I tore my dash out. And fiat is right. I will post up a build sheet of your truck in the registry.
  8. Hmm. I don't know about the 4.0. It should be just a sensor on a pipe for power steering and not on the pump itself. I will be sure to get thorough and detailed pics for ya.

  10. Alrighty. It’s a goal to get pictures today. The holidays and such is madness. Anyways that top plug goes to a sensor on the power steering pump pipe. The oil pressure should be just a single plug with black rubber on it to protect the plug itself and the alt should be a GM looking plug that is rectangle in shape.
  11. Warren. I searched up and down left and right for that tester. Only one showed up on eBay and the seller wanted $325 for it. It is a non existent tool sadly.
  12. Well there is one way to test the harness and I just used a test light to test some of the components like the stalk control. There is a servo test procedure in the FSM that I did to make sure both my servos were good. But for testing the box, there really isn't a way to test it, but how the dealer "tested" it is you have to set the dials at the 10 10 and 3 o clock positions. The two tens would be the dials closest to each other and the three o clock being the dial on the other side. That's how the dealers tested it just to give a base to function. The pulse generator requires you to lift the vehicle in the air and test the pulse sensor with the vehicle on and in gear with a multimeter to test the output. I can't remember if it is in AC or DC you test the pulses. As Warren said, vac lines can be a culprit to. I will have to get to my FSM tomorrow unless you have the electronic one to consult. I to a degree documented it but didn't in my build.
  13. That has PHX AZ on it. Neat!
  14. Eh light surface rust can easily come off. That's neat though!
  15. Theres a test on Cruisers website that shows you how to test it with a multimeter. I believe you test for AC and its at .2 or something like that, it is bad. You can test for spark by pulling a plug out and keep it attached to the wire at the rotor and put the plug against the block and look for a blue spark from the plug while someone cranks over the engine. Also you can pull off the inlet line and see if fuel comes out. Sometimes the hose inside the tank can be loose and pop off or have holes in it causing little to no pressure.
  16. Huh. Had no idea it played a roll in that. Noted
  17. ALM probably was once a package during the Chrysler era but changed with time. The speedo would be off if the tire size increased. Not the gearing. It could've had a slider and it probably broke all they could afford was a solid when it was still around.
  18. Have you tested the CPS? Are you getting spark? Does the fuel pump prime and do you hear it?

  20. Mannn, where was that when I got my NOS running boards? Lol. that's a nice find.
  21. Working at a dealer has its benefits and I love it. I had my brakes checked out for a spongy feel(by a former AMC tech who does brakes and steering) and it turns out my young dumb butt put the drum shoes on backwards the second time but did it right the first time. Live and learn. While at it she got her drums trimmed up and was recommended to replace the now leaking 30 year old wheel cylinders. I could rebuild them but I will determine that when I get the new ones installed. But this weekend will be tow hooks
  22. This makes me wonder if the convertible Dakota stuff would work for this. Neat!
  23. I know both as I've been there so much. They know their Jeeps and that's what makes them great to make trips to on my lunch.
