Well...still no decals on her yet. Still driving a gorgeous red brick. But on the other hand the bed has been sprayed with a spray in liner so I don’t have to worry about painting that only just to have it get screwed up. And the bed mat is back in as well. Need to let the paint on the tailgate cure before adding the chrome wrap over. Also scored a neat NOS bug shield. Hate how it has a giant MoPar sticker on it but oh well. The weird thing is that this part has a MoPar label but yet has the AMC number which makes me think that the part changes were not as immediate as they could’ve been back then. I think I’m gonna knock out a few things this weekend so stay tuned for hopefully a few neat pieces to go in.

Andy I got a set of nozzles. Boy were they hard to find. I didn’t think they were going to be stingy on separating complete cowl panels but I managed to find two broken cowls with good nozzles.

Yes someone bought the last two inner shift boots!!! I was about to buy one from a dealer and someone snagged both boots!! I was mad but didn’t show it. Oh well. -
Hey JMO. Did this one pop up at your dealer? nevermind I see now where it is at.

Yup! That is correct! Was it where i thought it was? That bezel supersedes to an AB. I thought it went to a different part number. -
Project "Honcho" - The '87 MJ

Actually 86 has them at the end of the bed. 87-92 put them under the pilar. It looks good for the 4x2 models. -

It was this build that inspired me to do a few details to Little Red. Notably the AMC back window sticker and the AMC Jeep badges below the vents. I loved reading this build and reminds me of my time building mine. I will have to go a reread it sometime soon now that it has resurfaced. -
Something tells me I need to do this to mine to fit the MJOTM title. But I like it. Really creative.

eaglescout526 replied to hakukamana's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
The bezel part number begins with a 5523 and I think there’s some 5’s in the last four and it ends in AB. You take the rubber boot and the bezel and put them together and then you just push in the base of the boot and bezel into the console and it should “click” and stay in place. If not it means the consoles lips are broken and won’t hold the bezel in place. To locate boot in the catalogue, depending on which catalogue, the book, it will be the transmission section under shift linkage and in Digital dealer catalogue is group 21M and under shift linkage. -
ISO 5 star wheel near OHIO or shipped to OH

Hahahahahaha yes! Theres five left for the price of extorsion! Part number 52000452. For reference. -
Okie dokie I will take a look. Their newer XJ's haven't been scavenged as much.
-
Depends if they have the harness. If they have it and I have to pull it and how ever much they ask for will depend on the price. But I won't go outrageous on price. Now does it have to be 00-01?

Center caps can be had very easily. Chrysler still has like 1,000 of them(This is false. Theres 120 left not counting the other 100 at dealers.). There are two NOS rims left. I would like to have one of them to replace a rim that got scraped on the back side by the ebrake cable. But being said, they are way out of your price range. -

Guess NOS is out of the question. -
89 MJ 5spd ax-15 start lockout?
eaglescout526 replied to Andy in Pa's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
You’re thinking of something that newer cars have. Our trucks don’t have that switch. Course I can start my moms 96 civic without pressing the clutch to engage the switch but it’s like a neutral safety switch but for manual transmissions. -
As some of you may know I frequent this salvage yard. They are a local and family owned business that started sometime in the late 70’s as salvaging the SJ’s. Now they have mostly XJs and ZJs but have some older Jeep oddities. Anyways I currently have a shopping list of parts to look for. Don’t ask about MJ parts as if they ever get an MJ it is usually gone as soon as they get it. They do have a pioneer short bed though. I can not guarantee that the part you are looking for will be there but I still will look. Right now they have a 89 2 door 4.0L that still has the Renix system minus the ECU as a member here already snagged it. I try to head there when I can so grabbing parts in a short amount of time will be challenging but I will do it. (I go during my lunch) If you need me to look for something let me know here or in a PM. Just looking to help these guys out and keep them around. I have seen XJs from 84-01

Looks like you can update your signature to a currently not broken KJ Glad you got it all back together.

how to replace washer nozzle
eaglescout526 replied to mark corbitt's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
No problem. I have yet to replace any nozzles but was trying to remove them before painting the cowl but didn't have the patience to sit and do it without a back up nozzle. Glad you got it off though! -

Dealership. For me at least. I try to avoid the aftermarket scene as best as I can. -
Where can I buy one of these?
eaglescout526 replied to KANTANKRUS's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Not only the countermen but their corporate people too! Just like how dealers have parts specifiers for finding the right part and or making sure it is right, the Napa specifiers are idiots. I was hunting down the special Renix alt without AC that has the extended pulley on it and one of their websites pictures lies as I got it and it was wrong. So the countermen who actually were good guys(don't know what happened to them now) had to call their specifier and see why that one comes with the wrong pulley but the picture is wrong. They still got the right one for me but man it seems like the laziness and lack of knowledge in my generation has taken over. -

eaglescout526 replied to KANTANKRUS's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Amen to that. We hate using Napa for that reason. The guys at our O'reillys know what they are looking up when we give them specifics and such. Its still funny to call other dealers for MJ and XJ parts and the counter men say its some kind of (insert part description here) and I tell them its for the XJ and MJ and they kinda remain baffled.
