Floor repairs (is this bad? I think this is bad)
CPH-0628 replied to Gubachoo's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I would take those floors over mine any day. Take your time and it will all be worth it in the end. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk -
Well with everything that's gone on this year we haven't really had much time to get any work done on the comanche. Also moved up in position at work so bigger work load and then we sold our house and bought a new one so most free time has been spent on home renovations the wife wants. Anyways, here lately I have gotten out to the garage and made a little head way with this project. Still need to finish up the floors but have also started stripping down the xj we are using for parts. Got motor, trans, and t case pulled out today. Now to figure out what's going on with number 6 cylinder. H

1990 Mj build.... down the rabbit hole.

I like the way this one is starting out. Looking like a cool build. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk -
I guess that I may be one of the few here that would have chosen a full size pickup. I still like the jeep platform but I've also only ever really had full size pickups. Heck my current dd is an 06 f350 dually. I do have to agree tho that it's nice to be able to reach everything under the hood without a step ladder. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

We should be able to get the oldest boys MJ done in time for this event. Would be a neat summer vacation. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Were you able to get anything off of any of them? Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Nope go ahead. If you can save some of those parts before they rot away by all means. With my schedule here lately my free time to get out back out there is limited. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

No I haven't. This yard doesn't get picked over hard anymore. don't know how much they would want for them? Stuckmans auto salvage in syracuse, IN is who has them. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

I ran a bastard pack in my xj for quite a few years and it still road decent. If you already have them it may be worth while to play around with the extra set adding in different leaves till you get the height you want. Just my $.02. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Sadly none of these had tail lights, tail gate, interior trim. Most of dash pieces were intact from what I remember tho. One even had a hitch on it and decent rear bumper. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Are slider windows worth money? There were two 3 panel windows and one 4 panel rear window. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Went out to a local junk yard today and surprisingly they had 3 comanches out there. I even snapped vin numbers on them just in case for registry. Most of the quick sell highly sought after items are gone tho. Sad to see them sitting tho. I know the one has been sitting there for atleast 7 years. Anything you guys see I should go back for? I'm a maintenance technician for Purina animal feed. Each day working with anything from welding and fabrication, electrical, pneumatics, boilers, pumps, and machinery. So I pretty much have my hands in quite a few different areas throughout the day. Course getting free time to work on jeep ends up being few and far between unfortunately.
