  1. raisin' 'em right.
  2. I finally fixed it
  3. no shame in spreading knowledge, that's what we're here for. it's not like other platforms where you'd make money from clicks. heck, this platform costs me money each month.
  4. only a matter of time before you're contemplating your 3rd or 4th
  5. if it's not power, then it's a missing ground.
  6. practice more with spraying. the key is multiple light coats, never let the can stop moving, and don't apply the next coat until the can says to. it can absolutely be done without any running. the stuff on my KJ's flares comes from a spray can (and honestly is a horrible material for a bedliner because it's super thin like paint and feels like sandpaper). it's got 3 or 4 coats on it. also avoid super humid days for any coating application. the can will mention that it takes way longer to cure on a humid day.
  7. the emergency line is like Schrödinger's cat in the box. no way to know what's inside without cracking it open. at this point you can either: -do the whole thing and know it's right or -just bleed the rears and then drive and see what happens. maybe it'll be fine.
  8. spraying directly to the steel will help with dampening vibrations, but doesn't insulate heat much at all. the liner just gets hot too.
  9. no more effort than DIY paint. it can only protect against scratches and once you get a dent (or worse), makes it 1000 times harder to fix.
  10. the only way to bleed the emergency line running to the rear is via the factory procedure. BUT, since it's not normally opened during the work you did, you might be able to get away with regular bleeding of the main rear line.
  11. yup, it separates the boiling hot steel/air from your head space.
  12. what advantage do you think the liner gives over traditional paint?
  13. no, Key Parts is making factory style replacement units. Oracle is making the LED aftermarket housings.
  14. yeah, I screw up things for free! I want to get paid to do that. every time I see an outfielder miss an easy catch, I think "I can do that".
  15. Key Parts is now making complete housings with lenses. you can find their store on ebay or the parts through various resellers. there's also a new company making LED housings with a different style to them, but they haven't quite gotten the first batch out yet so I don't have any reviews for you yet.
  16. depends if it's for a resto or just a driver. if just a driver, I'd scour the junkyards for another truck's latch that works. gotta be something out there. but for a resto, that's a tough call. the going rate is the going rate, but patience is frequently rewarded.
  17. can't say I remember anything Jeep on the side of the road (unless the bedliner I lost out of my trailer 5 minutes earlier counts?), but one of the MJ beds I picked up came delivered to me via forklift in the junkyard's parking lot and the bed was still full of leaves and rags and trash very professional, my dude. very professional. but after I dumped it all out in the parking lot (off to the side, not the middle of the lot... although I was tempted) I found a bunch of random MJ parts buried underneath the disgustingness.
  18. gotta also tap the X in the box of that photo at the bottom where all the photos are piled up before you post.
  19. it has to do with how different phones determine which way is up. it's... weird. I've had good luck with rotating the image, then rotating back and saving it before upload.
  20. nope, all started with a yahoo group in 1997. I found it a few months after when I got my first MJ.
  21. honestly I would take out the gasket, cut a piece of steel for a blockoff plate, then reinstall the plate between the gasket and EGR and call it a day. that way it can't go bad and it'll still look like it should.
  22. man, no one knows how to do body work anymore.
