Project “CommuteChe”

We rolled 90,000 miles driven together today. Getting close to doubling the mileage the truck had on it when I got her. (117,182.8) Still no major issues or break downs. Only thing that caused a “break down” so far was a coil that would get heat soaked. I did have to replace the crappy Napa radiator recently with a warranty Napa radiator and for some reason I can’t seem to keep a thermostat in this thing for more than 6 months. Just keeps the coolant fresh I suppose. -

Drove from Seattle to Missoula then south into Idaho for a week long 1500mi hunting trip that was successful.

Comanche stolen in West Seattle ** HAS BEEN FOUND**
WranglerMangler replied to Barstool's topic in The Pub
I’ll keep an eye out for her. I’m usually pretty good at spotting them. Hope you get it back. I'm in Maple Valley. Seems like an odd vehicle for a tweeker to steal. Doubt they’re just out driving it around. Hope it’s not an MJ owner stripping it for parts. I would suggest putting an ad like this out on Facebook and FB marketplace, Craigslist etc. -
It’s amazing how fast they accumulate once they start following you home! I haven’t had one follow me home in quite some time but it sure is fun when they do! Good luck with your build.

Big milestone reached today with the old commuter truck. Glad I was able to catch it. Can’t wait to see what and where the next 100k brings me and CommuteChe. -

Thank you Smash6. I appreciate it. Sometimes I post things I feel aren’t really important to the story or timeline but look back and I am happy that I made the update regardless. -

Have been doing the annual firewood trips lately. Putting ol’ CommuteChe to work. Had some pretty scenery today going over Chinook Pass. Had some help from my Dad today. Some snow on top of the pass. Will be closing soon. Need to get the wood while I can. Have made 4 or 5 trips hauling the trailer along. It’s not CommuteChes favorite thing to do but she gets the job done. -

Haven’t posted in quite some time. CommuteChe is chugging along great. Just racking up the miles daily still. This makes 70,000 miles I’ve put on the old girl Lotta 8s Found a friend recently. Didn’t talk with the guy unfortunately but left him a CC magnet. Also found some snowflakes on offer up with decent tires on them for $125. Definitely more tread than what I had. Did some sketchy hauling too. lol. Poor little truck -
Did you buy your MJ a gift? Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

Yet another awesome video. Good job Heather! What an amazing trip. Noticed new tires? And are the hubs new? Still looks like a D30 up front by the CAD block off plate visible in the shots behind the passenger tire? Just never seen you guys have to lock the hubs in before? Keep the videos coming!

A mount Rainier morning on the way into work. Found a big rock at work recently. Komatsu PC360 can’t move it. Not the biggest machine but respectable in size and power. Bottom of the pit is 20’ across.
