stopped by one yard so far. out of 8 KJs there was one candidate but it looked like someone hit it with a hammer a few times. hoping to visit a couple more 'yards this weekend (I'm hunting for other things too, but honestly who needs any more of an excuse to go to a junkyard than my buddy needs a matching cruise control switch ).

nice! looks like a lot of good parts there if someone was brave enough. just need to get there at opening time. I once melted the soles of my shoes apart on a 100* sunny day in a junkyard in Louisiana. but by gum I got that ARB bumper.

just got one off a junkyard 98 this weekend for the 88 I'm working on. literally sitting on my desk next to my hand. inner diameter is somewhere between 7/16" smaller outer is 3/4" larger outer is 1" 1/16" overall height is 3/4" the narrower diameter section is roughly 1/2" tall

if I remember right, the snout is about 1" longer than the 35

yup, that coil is pretty bowed. you need to grab an angle finder and measure your caster.

depends on the condition of the axle. but then I no longer buy rusted things. I've been spoiled since my family moved to GA.

note that the evap ports are in a slightly different orientation which meant I had to custom make the foam seal. what are you guys using to remove the oil filter adapter? tried to get a 97+ unit from the junkyard only to find that the t-60 bit plus the ratchet doesn't fit in the space available.

got mine on amazon. any parts store can get them too. if you're digging that deep into the truck, make sure you have a list of everything you can accomplish on the way in. especially with water intrusion spots like the antenna grommet and hvac seals.

oooohhh, the axle side. I was thinking the body side and was wondering how on earth they got damaged. yeah, I would get some upgraded ones and weld them on. or better yet, a whole new axle just in case this one is damaged in ways you can't easily tell until you start driving it again.

yes. are they DOT compliant?

there was no visible rust on the truck I'm rebuilding until we pulled the glass. then we found surface rust on both the front and back window urethane locations. if you find this, it must be dealt with properly to have any hope of resealing the new urethane.

also good. but if you're going to wheel it, ya gotta protect it.

rather than a new one from a parts store that is returnable?

is the factory clutch going to hold and release as normal with the lighter fan?

if anyone that bought them could test the passive reflectivity of them and report back, that'd be awesome.
