  1. well, the good news it that's just a hole in the bellhousing. the threaded bit is in the engine. I would try removing everything else and see if I can yank the bellhousing off.
  2. did I share this one yet? oh well, still funny
  3. I imagine a thin washer cut from felt would make them perfect. I'd never turn down one I found in a yard, but I also would rather keep hunting for a used Jeep one than pay out the nose for a new Ford one.
  4. be sure to make an official DIY thread once you're confident they are good to go.
  5. well, they most definitely fit and lock, but not especially tightly. not sure if it's indicative of them all or just my one sample piece.
  6. wait, did I start a build thread on it? if I did I completely forgot about it.
  7. still gutted and half-hovering on jackstands. but the glass has all new seals and I've got a ton of new parts waiting to go in once I finally get the cab watertight. it's reeeeeally close to finally getting out of the "fixing" phase and into the "reassembly" phase. I just keep finding problems. (I couldn't get that leak to reoccur with the hose so we moved the canopy. the rain did the trick and now it's covered again)
  8. Breanne's problem child, the 88 Pioneer. the black truck seen in other photos.
  9. that's AMC quality for ya.
  10. if anyone has a dribble of water coming down in the passenger side corner of the floor, this might be your culprit. you must pull the hvac to get at it. I think this truck suffered from every single possible water leak save for a sunroof (but only because it doesn't have one). the good news is that it's a southern truck and the rust up in that corner is just surface and can be dealt with without welding. there is a patch needed on the floor though. these are just the ones I found on the pass side
  11. looks like the Bronco Graveyard has some lower gear 44 posi's for $250 https://shop.broncograveyard.com/D44-OE-Spicer-Trac-Lok-392-and-Up-Complete/productinfo/22096/
  12. are you using a phone or laptop to do that? whatever program you're using isn't overwriting the original orientation tag.
  13. that's why he's taking offers. but its a crap shoot as to whether he thinks it's worth 425 or 250.
  14. the fan doesn't kick on until the engine is practically overheating (like 230*). I think it comes on with the AC though if you have that.
  15. found a cheaper one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/185136432398
  16. can't beat nos if you can find it. If I remember right, I believe the auto version will work too by just not plugging that second plug into anything. https://www.ebay.com/itm/225185170978

    no info other than "blue".
  18. I mean, it could just mean a trip to the junkyard. I forget which one you want to find though. ZJs? KJs?
  19. ax-15 didn't come into play until mid-89 and was only available behind the 4.0 (in Jeeps at least) the ax-5 and ax-15 have essentially nothing in common but the manufacturer.
  20. dear spammers: someone might fall for one for these. no one is going to fall for any of these when they get 20+ a day. especially when they don't have any accounts with any of the "companies" listed.
  21. what about fabbing an old-school lookin' brush guard to go on the bumper?
