  1. I have a fun one for yall, I recently traded for a Ax15 2wd out of a dodge dakota. My Comanche uses a Mechical speedometer and The tail housing has a spot that I originally had thought was a freeze plug of sorts that I could pop out for my speedo gear assembly but that part is just apart of the cast IE the pictures. Milling and tapping that hole is no big deal but for the speedo's "Pinion gear" I assume, I have no idea where I would buy or locate said part. It there is a spot on the main shaft to hold it place with a slot and two lock ring slots. Any help would be so Appreciated!
  2. Knowing my Ba10 isnt bad its just the internal Slave Cylinder, And I have the Ax15 with the External Slave, Is there a way I can take the fork and External cylinder and use that to convert my Ba10? Or would it just not fit at all.
  3. Damn thats fair, And off the things Ive read I wouldnt be able to use the driveshaft off the Xj if I were to use the Ax15 with the tranfercase, Id still have to get a driveshaft made because of the wheelbase difference correct?
  4. So Ive been reading up on many forums about the Ax15 conversion and Haven't found any answers that I'm looking for. On my 1987 Mj 2wd the internal slave took a crap out of the blue (Pushing in the clutch and not being able to put into gear with the engine on) And read that the aftermarket internal slaves on the Ba-10/5 are very unreliable and the tranmissions are good but not strong. Knowing that I have to dropped the transmission anyways to fix the the Throw out slave cylinder bearing thingy, I could just swap the transmission entirely. I Have a recked 1995 Xj Sport 4.0l 4wd 5spd that I believe has the Ax15 with the external slave cylinder already just that it has a transfercase for the 4wd. My question is, Can I smoothly and directly swap everything from the Xj to the Mj without any modification or other parts (Trying to not spend any money) and remove the transfer case and bolt on the Ba10/5 rear tail housing and so I can keep the original mechanical speedo gear and OE driveshaft. Is it possible? If not is there someone or somewhere that can provide me the parts list so I can complete the swap smoothly. Any Help or info would be greatly appreciated!
  5. My 1987 Mj that uses a mechanical speedometer, but doesn't have a tach. I have a donor 1995 Xj that has the tach gauge but uses a electronic speedo. Is there any way I can combine the tachometer gauge into the old housing and swap all the newer faceplates and keep the mechanical drive? Id like the add that the old gauge cluster has everything but the Tach (No idiot lights). And will the old sensors even work with the new or will I have to swap the new ones in aswell?
