score! out of curiosity, what gears are in the axles? back in the day 4.56 was possible in the XJs with the 2.5/auto, but I get the feeling that 4.10s were more likely by '95.

also, also, I prefer to hit slowly with my 3lb sledge than swing hard with a regular hammer. more speed = more chance of something going horribly wrong.

it's only bigger because they wanted to use the rubber thingie for the longer 2wd shafts so as to reduce vibrations.

the larger diameter shaft is actually weaker. plus has that silly rubber vibration damper inside.

built a giant cardboard fort for my adopted niece and nephews on their back porch. unfortunately I don't have pics of the finished product (and it has since been recycled now that school has started), but it had 4 rooms plus a closet. the li'l guy is short enough to just walk in. they already have bigger plans for this winter (I've been challenged with making a second story ) so I guess I gotta score some more boxes by then. making some core memories here. the star wars blanket is the front door

come on down to atlanta. we've got plenty of parking. 20+ lanes across in some places.

it's in the painting section I wouldn't bother with the more complicated 9-in-1s or whatever silly number they are up to. you just want a strong flat stiff chisel/prybar/scraper/etc that you can hammer on without fear of it breaking apart in your hand. this one is 15 bucks and is one of my favorite tools.

do you own a quality 5-way tool? if not, you should go get one. one of the best tools ever (just don't get a cheap one) I would grind that area flat again (trying to eliminate any burrs you've caused that would hurt the process) and use the 5way as a chisel starting with the far side and work my way around. meaning you're probably going to need to pry them apart, starting with the thinnest tool, the 5way. you need to make sure that you've gotten all the other bolts, including the inspection cover ones, or this is an exercise in futility.
