    the straps hang from the bed on the inside, but you might be able to disconnect them (and disconnect the filler hoses) and support it in another way.

    any pics of the head? how bad did it get?

    that'd be a heck of a lot of shipping for something that should be closer to you. try car-part.com XJ axles are the same but need new perches welded on in the MJ location. avoid the dana 35 if you can.

    not every repair shop is comfortable with swapping a transmission that is not identical to the old. there are many details to keep track of beyond what the R-n-R book states.
