I'm not sure what trans the camaro has. trans mount location and shifter handle location need to be looked into. the good news is that the 2.8L shares a bolt pattern with the Jeep 2.5L and so it should be pretty easy to find an AX-5.

the auto behind the 2.8 is a 3spd. the 4spd thing comes from chrysler reusing that code for something newer.

there's a good chance that all your power woes are directly connected to that carb. the camaro/firebird 3.4 swap with the fuel injection system is a good upgrade that swaps right in using your existing mounts, exhaust and trans.. should be a thread or 2 on that in the link in my sig.

yes, the yoke is part of the differential. the ujoint sits in it. it's probably just stuck from flash rust.

gently hammer it back and forth until the ujoint lets go of the yoke. sometimes your foot can do it. no need to direct the force towards the t-case. unless you have a skinny prybar. then you can pry the ujoint off the yoke.

I've been very pleased with my 40v Kobalt weed-whacker and leaf blower. got too much to mow to have gotten the 40v push mower though (need a riding mower). a friend of mine tried to get an Ego mower recently, but went through 3 from 2 different stores that wouldn't spin the blades at all (needed "easy rewiring" as she was told, which is ridiculous for a brand new item) and gave up for a gas powered one.

be super careful when maxing out the suspension (such as on a car lift). the shortness of the XJ shackles can cause them to invert on the longer MJ leafs when it comes back down on the ground. (meaning the shackle folds forward and ruins the main leaf) looks good though.
