  8. you've found said wrangler? is it a TJ or the newer JK/JL? how big of a Jeep are you looking to build? what type of trails do you hit? in theory the Dana 30 with a 8.8/8.25/44 can take 300 horses if built right. but not so much if you're rock bouncing.

  10. it's spring metal and he only needs like half an inch of space. but admittedly i'm thinking of this all happening when the suspension is fully drooped out.
  11. if gunk is somehow keeping your engine from leaking, then I figure you've got bigger issues than finding out a gasket needs to be replaced. it's all theory and conjecture. I've yet to see legit research on it, so I file it under the mechanic's version of old wives tales.

  15. yeah, I've heard all sorts of other old wives tales too. I went back and forth in my 88 depending on what was on sale. never noticed any changes.

  20. now THAT'S a project space! plenty of room to spread out the parts while you work. my truck just barely fits on our outbuilding. I can see that this truck is in good hands.
