  1. last of the late great AA battery cameras! got a free Powershot camera the other day (16mp and 16 optical zoom) stricken with the ol' Canon "battery dead" syndrome. pop in brand new batteries and it'll tell you they are dead. every time. so I grabbed a 3.7v AA size battery and a dummy battery and behold! it's alive! (the 3.7v+dummy comes from my experience with Nerf blasters of all things. more voltage = faster darts). so now I'm not dependent on my old phone for snapping pics on my various adventures.
  2. I want that RC
  3. that level of info was unfortunately lost before it got to chrysler's computers. that's why we're doing the registry, so we can piece it back together as best we can. 8-12-87 is a super early Eliminator though.
  4. various colors. the buy it now is 20 but he accepted less from me so feel free to try. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=Comanche+Vinyl+Flex+Tailgate+Letters&_sacat=0
  5. they are super tough engines. as long as the rebuilder is competent, you should be golden
  6. oh. well, that'll do it. shouldn't be hard to find a used engine if you're in a hurry.
  7. what's up with your engine?
  8. Just buy some MJ seats. they go right in.
  9. well that escalated quickly. what happened to the engine? what are your compression numbers?
  10. dang. well, check the Venders part of the classifieds to see if Brandon has any new floor brackets left.
  11. the floor mounts? what do you have in it now? bench?
  12. 2dr XJ seats with the straight sliders are more or less the same as MJ buckets and will go on to your bench floor brackets fairly easily. 4dr XJ seats with the straight slider are also close enough to work, but don't lean forward. any XJ seat with the curved rocking slider will sit you up a couple inches higher than stock MJ buckets but still work. 96+ have a completely different type of assembly underneath and need a bit more fab work. most any junkyard bucket seat from any car can be installed if you can fab up an adapter out of flat stock or tubing. benches too. in the link in my signature you'll find a writeup on using the dakota split bench.

  14. nice! do be sure to try and save/upload them to the CC so pintrest can't steel them back later.
  15. sometimes it feels good to just embrace the MJ illness
  16. getting printed up as I type.

do you remember if I moved that to the DIY or is it buried in Tech?
  19. yes, it's rightside-up. I even spaced out the lower edge so that it's at the proper angle or presentation rather than flush with the wall and weird looking. I'm actually a little surprised at how little of "the art that is our trucks" is on people's walls. A team of Jeep artists drew up the concepts, then a team of Jeep engineers made it 3d, and then a team of Jeep line workers brought it to life. I mean, there's real history and a story there. but people will hang a cheap print they found at hobby lobby because it goes well with the wall color.
  20. since we're opening up this thread to all of our NOS scores, I feel compelled to share the wall o' NOS was able to find a nos tail, bumper end, flare, gas tank door, gas cap, and mudflap for the bedside. also a nos handle for the nos gate. the rim is an unused spare. the wheel caps are just nice ones, not nos. not shown is my nos chrome grill on the adjoining wall.
  21. weirdly enough I kinda like to drywall. the perfectionist in me really appreciates making flaws just disappear into the dust... I never said it was easy though. kudos to the guys that can make it look great and not take all week like me.
  22. love the truck it's everything my 88 can only dream of re-becoming. but as for a title to you build thread, I think you should come up with something more inspiring
  23. what cherokee seats exactly? there are different styles used over the years.
