  1. Rustys suffered from quality issues early on (case in point I bought their 3" coils and track bar bracket in '05 and the coating was disintegrating within a couple months and gone within a year), but they have come a long way in recent years. back in the day they were outsourcing the springs (but the coatings were done in-house). not sure what they are doing now. I do like my spring rate.
  2. why would you need to replace the pitman arm?
  3. lol. for some reason it's hilarious to me that someone might actually line the inside of their bed with a bedliner.
  4. disconnected the exhaust at the downpipe, undid all the fuel lines and wires, and picked the whole thing off the engine. just picking it up a couple inches showed me that the number 2 piston had disintegrated so I just yanked it the rest of the way off. but I've no doubt I could have swapped out a gasket assuming I didn't need to clean the steel much. where there's a will, there's a way. I do NOT like dealing with rusty header bolts!
  5. just needs a bit o' sprucing up and she'll be ready for camping or prom night rental or whatever.
  6. no such thing as "best" without knowing your goals for the truck. and the 9" is overrated. pick your front axle first, then find an appropriate rear axle. rears are easy to choose.
  7. I once pulled the head on a 96 4.0 and didn't even have to remove the intake/exhaust headers. mine wasn't just a blown gasket though.
  8. the only one with the MJ pattern will be a TJ Rubicon 44. try car-part.com and be prepared for a little sticker shock.

  10. I have a feeling that partially because they were the least likely to be thrashed all their lives, and also because people with a super clean 4.0 are hanging on to them.
  11. here's a decent starting point. I'd wager there are youtube vids out there too. https://www.americanmuscle.com/buying-a-foxbody-mustang.html
  12. this is a real thing, built in Brazil I think. meet, the Engerauto Scorpion ew.
  13. are you in a rust prone area?
  14. hey, the number has gone up!
  15. depends on what you mean by "almost". only the TJ front 44 will swap with no welding and it won't match the fullsize 9". the front axle is always the most challenging of the 2. choose it, and then pick the matching rear. also, the 9" is overrated. I ruined my center section on a freakin' rock of all things.
  16. here's the rest of the photos for posterity. has anyone contacted him yet about getting the truck into the registry?
  17. can we see photos of all this bent hardware up front? I'd hate for you to be freaking out over something that's completely normal. were you struggling with hi-range or with lo-range?
  18. so it IS a ford part! (maybe) gotta get to a junkyard!
  19. hope the link works https://www.facebook.com/commerce/listing/3696530097092475?media_id=0&ref=share_attachment
  20. sure thing. I have everything you see in the Swag thread in the Pub.
  21. happened to me a couple times now. it's a neat feeling being the first one to open up something that hasn't seen the light of day since Toledo.
